The first time I ever used Tom's of Maine, I was borrowing toothpaste from a friend that I was staying with since I'd forgotten mine. I was hooked immediately and am a huge Tom's fan. I've tried many of the toothpastes in the Tom's line, and I absolutely love the Whole Care Anticavity & Tartar Control Plus Whitening Gel. It's the whole package! The taste is great and I feel that it gets my mouth totally clean. What I love best is that it doesn't contain all of the nasty chemicals found in most toothpastes, such as sodium lauryl sulfate. I don't need my toothpaste to bubble and foam in order to feel clean. Tom's of Main Natural Whole Care Anticavity & Tartar Control Plus Whitening Gel Toothpaste leaves my breath fresh and my gums happy and healthy. My overall oral health has greatly improved since using Tom's of Maine. My gums don't bleed anymore, and my dentist is pleased with me!

When I first purchased this product, it was because the box advertised that it was ADA [American Dental Association] approved and because I was looking for something more natural than normal antifreeze loaded toothpaste. The first night I used it, I thought that it was creamier than normal toothpastes are, if toothpaste can be considered creamy that is. It seemed to foam better than most other toothpastes I had used before, but it felt...odd in my mouth. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it felt different than anything I had ever tried before. Like, somehow softer or bubblier. And it left my mouth feeling much, much cleaner than traditional toothpastes. It had a more natural mint flavor, which wasn't as harsh as most other toothpaste flavors [I usually prefer cinnamon flavors to mint flavors], and left a refreshing aftertaste afterwards. After about a week, I noticed that my teeth were noticeably whiter than they had been before, and that they were less sensitive. All around, I think this is a fantastic toothpaste, and I would recommend it to anyone who can get over the initial odd feeling.

Tom's of Maine Natural Toothpaste is one of the best tasting toothpaste, I have ever used. It has a nice mellow minty/baking soda kind of flavor. I have been using this toothpaste for a couple of months because it's all-natural ingredients and it has worked wonderfully at cleaning my teeth. I used to have a yellowish tint to my teeth caused by years of drinking coffee and tea and this toothpaste polished them white.

This is one of my favorite toothpastes in the "Toothpaste World". The taste is delicious compared with many of those minty toothpastes out there. I prefer this cinnamon-clove flavor because it's different and unique. There is no saccharin or artificial sweeteners at all. The cinnamon and clove flavors come from natural oils. Cinnamon is one of my favorite flavors anyway. I also like that **Tom's of Maine** makes a completely natural toothpaste. I noticed that I only need a little bit on my toothbrush because it lathers up really well. This particular toothpaste is a gel and it's almost clear, but slightly white. I am using less than I normally would too. **Tom's of Maine ** does leave my mouth feeling extra fresh too. Interesting that this toothpaste contains silica for whitening. Silica is naturally derived from sand, of all things, but it generally improves teeth cleaning while it gently whitens. This is done without harsh chemical bleaching or abrasives. I found Tom's of Maine on accident when the hygeine products in my store had been rearranged. **Tom's of Maine Natural Whole Care Anticavity & Tarter Control Plus Whitening Toothpaste** is a natural product that works like it's supposed to. My mouth has never felt so amazing. The paste is a cloudy gray color that does not foam well while brushing, but you'll stop noticing after a few days. Best of all, it brightened my teeth way more than I expected This is not a five star product for one reason: the taste. The first time I used this paste I couldn't believe the strong, medicinal, borderline poisonous flavor in my mouth. Not at all minty even though the back label boasts of spearmint and peppermint oils in the ingredients.  Believe it or not, after that harsh criticism about its taste, in about a week I was used to it (or maybe I just went to my "happy place" while brushing), and my brighter, squeaky clean teeth were worth it. Give it a chance to grow on you and you will never go back to lesser pastes.

I like Toms toothpaste it cleans your mouth/teeth but does leave a gritty feel behind that is the only neg. to this brand. I love that it's all natural and eco friendly, it also does not contain Saccharin! Tom's does not test on animals also another big plus for me!

I am into natural products and had been searching for a while to find a natural product that I can just go to the store and buy instead of having to make myslef. One day I happened to notice that my local grocery store had a natural health section and as I browsed through the items, I decided to try Tom's of Maine Natural Wholre Care Anticavity and Tarter Control Plus Whitening Gel toothpaste. I was sure if this would work for me but I gave it a shot anyway. When I stared using it to brush my teeth, I immediately noticed that it got my mouth really fresh. I know that I needed to use it for a while to determine if it would actually help to control tarter and actually help to whiten the teeth. After using this product for a while I did notice that my teeth became a shade whiter it seemed. Over all I do like this toothpaste especially because it is natural without all the extra chemicals and products found in some other toothpaste brands.

Tom's of Maine Natural Whole Care Anticavity & Tarter Control toothpaste is one of my favorite brands.  With in the past few years we have all been searching for more natural products.  Our bodies do not need any more foreign chemicals causing health issues. To find a toothpaste that is all natural and made here in the USA is wonderful.  When trying Tom's for the first time you would expect something all nature not to work, but it does.  My teeth and whole mouth feel clean.and there is no after taste.  A friend suggested I try Tom's a few years ago, when I started have issues with reoccurring cold sores.   I am not sure, what in Tom's of Maine Natural Toothpaste helped, put it did.  When I had the sore it did not burn as other have.  I do not get them as often.  I have recommend this product to my family and friends.  The two negatives are Tom's is more expensive then your average toothpaste and it is not widely available in all supermarkets.  If it is carried in your local shopping, give Tom's of Maine Natural Whole Care Anticavity & Tarter Control Toothpaste a try.

I support this toothpaste and this company simply because it is naturall, it does its best to provide good products for consumers, and I really admire this company and other organic companies for their efforts. i hope they are all sincere, as we are seeing more and more that they are giving in to the temptations of this world (for example, Kashi being bought by Kellogs). any toms of maine is great, it really is a gentle and excellent toothpaste, i think kids will like it, and its safe for them. it doesnt have a strong taste, it doesnt leave you with a strong after taste, and it make syour breathe smell god and your teeth clean. unfortunately, most of us have damaged our enamel by using tooth pastes, so if you dont want that for your kids and you want to protect them, then let them use this tooth paste. do them a favor, and don't make them rely on these chemicals for white teeth like most us have to do.

The more I started learning about all the different ingredients that are in the average toothpaste, the more I wanted to find one that was as natural as possible and still did a good job. I started using Tom's several years ago and have been so thankful that they continue to make available their great product. Now, some of their pastes still contain fluoride for those who feel it necessary, but I for one don't and am glad to be able to purchase a toothpaste without it. It has a pleasant. refreshing taste, leaving your mouth feeling clean and minty fresh after every brushing. And yes, it does actually work! I've tried several different "natural" toothpaste, but many don't even hold a candle to Tom's. My teeth are clean, don't show any signs of yellowing and just feel good knowing I'm not putting a bunch of chemicals in my mouth. :) Their price can be a little more than your average toothpaste, but it's not hard to find a store that puts it on sale often and then you can stock up.
