So after experiencing this type of cooking range in my old apartment, I realized that I couldn't stand it. It took 10 minutes to boil water when a normal gas one would only take 3. I admit, it is quite nice to not have any food fall in between the burner and I don't have to deal with lining grease covered grease catches with aluminum. But these are hard to clean and can scratch easily. I am paranoid about ruining them while cooking. Also, pulling off the knobs to clean under them is obnoxious. This model of electric stove top is nice though. The lines match very well with a modern style kitchen. It is very streamlined and when cleaned looks gorgeous. The black and silver coloring matches amazingly with all decor and is definitely nice to look at. It would be nice if the warning for hot spots on the stove was more noticeable though as it is on some other models. Better to be safer even if he warning detracts from the overall look of the stove.
