Not the best lotion but it has some uses.

3

I purchased a bottle St. Ives Aloe & Chamomile Lotion when I saw it on clearance based off of a friend's recommendation after trying the lotion for myself I was disappointed in the lotion and a little bit disappointed in my friend. The lotion does not have a good consistency at all. It is very runny, and it really does not like to absorb in to the skin at all. This is not very surprising when you take in to consideration that the first ingredient listed on the bottle is "water". Water does not just absorb in to your skin, and if it is the main ingredient the formula is not going to have that thick richness that good lotions have. Aside from the formula being off, the hydration that you expect a lotion to give you just simply is not there. I would put this stuff on in the morning, and by night time I would feel dry all over again. But there was an expected plus from this lotion. Because the formula is infused with chamomile and aloe it helps soothe irritated skin. I ended up using this lotion solely after I shaved my legs because it helped calm them down and prevent them from itching.

I love St. Ives products

5

Being a beauty and personal care product junkie, I have tried many St. Ives products and pretty much love them all. St. Ives Aloe & Chamomile Lotion is no exception. It is a very good moisturizer that has a very budget friendly price. If you are looking for a great lotion at a great price this is an excellent option. Scent This has a very light, fresh and clean scent. It is not overpowering and doesn't compete with perfume or other scents I am wearing. Absorption This is a nice lightweight formula. It absorbs very well into the skin and does not feel greasy or oily. Effectiveness This lotion works great. It has the soothing ingredients of aloe and chamomile. It is a lighter textured lotion but moisturizes like a heavier lotion or cream. It makes my skin very soft and smooth. My skin feels moisturized for hours. This is excellent at hydrating and nourishing normal to dry skin. This is also gentle on sensitive skin. This is a gender neutral lotion that the whole family can use.

A little watery

4

The Saint Ives Aloe and Chamomile Lotion is a somewhat decent lotion for those who have normal or maybe even greasier skin. The solution for the lotions feels as though it is heavily water-based. When I put on the lotion, no matter how much I rub my hands together, they feel as though they are dry again about 10 minutes later. The lotion feels watery and does not last very long on my hands. Scent The Saint Ives Aloe and Chamomile Lotion has an aroma that is both gentle and pleasing. It is not overwhelming like some lotions are, and it has a bit of a calming effect. Absorption Because the lotion is a bit more water-based, it is difficult to get it to absorb well into the skin, especially the hands. It makes my hands feel just as dry as they had been before application. Effectiveness The Saint Ives Aloe and Chamomile Lotion is only somewhat effective in humid climates and is even less effective in dryer climates.

St. Ives, not a good lotion product.

I have tried lotions from St. Ives on more than one occasion and I have yet to be impressed. This is another kind of lotion by St. Ives that really did not make me think better of the brand. It is supposed to be an aloe and chamomile lotion, so that means it should be soothing, but I did not get that from this lotion at all. The consistency of this lotion is very thin and it is very runny. It was running through my fingers when I was trying to pump it out of the bottle. Also, it did not absorb well at all. I did not feel any difference in my skin after I used this lotion. It is not a product that I would recommend and I definitely will not be purchasing another product from St. Ives in the future. Scent I was not so much a fan of this lotion's scent. It was too strong in my opinion. Absorption This lotion did not absorb well at all. I noticed that when I used it, it left a film on my skin. It is mostly because of this that I will not be purchasing it again.

Not as good as they once were

When St. Ives first came on the market, I was thrilled to have found a product group that was less expensive than the NAME brands. They were as good, if not better than all the rest. However, now they seem to have become like everything else - pricey and run-of-the-mill. I have sensitive skin due to a health issue. So a nice aloe was in my sights. St. Ives HAD been good. But this product leaves me flat. The consistency is thinner than I would want. Way to runny for me. I also wonder "where" is the aloe. my skin doesn't feel like it is even present in this. It just seems like a basic lotion with no benefit at all. Sorry St. Ives, but this misses the mark for me. Absorption slippery Effectiveness did not seem to do much at all

I can't start my day with out St. Ives

I have been using St. Ives for a few years now and I can't say enough about it.  I not only use the lotions I also use the Body Washes as well...It's a daily ritual for me, everytime I shower or bath. I must also mention that I have "psoriasis" and I am a testimony to this product. That it helps my skin tremendously. This product is reasonably priced and you can get it just about any where, which is really nice and convenient for the consumer.  Also, it doesn't take alot to use for your entire body and it leaves u silky soft and smelling fresh. I love to also rub my feet down at night and cover them up and the next day the are so soft feeling. So I would be completely lost if they ever stopped making my St. Ives. Trust me if you have never tried it, for the cost you will not go wrong. In just one week you can see a difference on how your skin feels and smells. So with that being said. Next time your at one of your local stores pick up a bottle and find out for your self, you may just like what you have been missing...

great moisturizer

I am fairly picky about the lotions that I do use, so when i find something I like I get really excited. This is a great lotion that has a pleasant and not overwhelming scent. It goes on fairly thickly and helps to heal my chapped or irritated dry skin. I find that in comparison to other lotions it seems to lock in the moisture for a longer period of time and I don't have to reapply it as frequently as I have to with other products which is a big bonus for me. Also, compared to some pricey lotions, I feel that this one does a similar if not better job than the ones that cost twice as much - it keeps me moisturized without feeling gross and greasy like a lot of other ones tend to do. It is also cheap and readily available at my local drugstore so I don't spend a fortune and can find it really easily. All in all, I would recommend this to other people - it's simple and its been around for a while with good reason!

buy any st.ives lotion and you will be happy you did so.   i suffer from psoriasis and their lotions are the best ones out there. i have paid huge amounts for so-called moisturizers only to have the psoriatic skin dry in an hour. st.ives moisturizes for hours.  i highly recommend it.
