Purchased the Sony Vaio VGN-AR790 U/B PC Note book back in 2007 for an upcoming work assignment requiring extensive computer support. Initially I was impressed with its capabilities of large 17" screen, blu-ray DVD disc playing, fast performance. About 6 months after purchasing the notebook was not a great as I had hoped. The tray that pops out for CD/DVDs is very cheaply made and have had many problems/issues with it. The sound was fine with  no noise around, but when used in an environment with backgound noise the sound could barely to no be heard from it at all. For a second time since owning the Sony Vaio notebook the push keys onto have stop working which goes to volume, open/close CD/DVD. Last year the wireless tab stop holding in place so the notebook can no longer pickup wireless internet. As a owner for 2 years now of this notebook it was not a good notebook for the price I paid at the time.
