Sessions.edu provides a reasonable alternative to design school for those who are too busy with jobs or other things that may prevent them from otherwise being able to attend classes at a local college. The classes can be done at your own pace, and you are given a number of months to finish any particular class, which my run from 3 lessons long to 9 lessons long. From my experience the the class I took, the professors are very responsive, keeping the Sessions.edu commitment to providing responses within 48 hours (on business days). I have even had professors reply to me on a Sunday on a holiday weekend, or late in the evening. The one thing that I did find somewhat frustrating was the handful of classes I took for the certificate that I felt were very basic and I didn't feel I learned anything from. Note that some of the classes on the curriculum are probably too easy for anyone who has spent much time even doing some self-taught HTML. On the other hand, I got a LOT out of the classes that focused on specific programs, such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver, as well as some of the more advanced programming classes, such as Javascript and PHP. Sessions.edu doesn't quality for federal loans, however, they have a very reasonable payment program for students who cannot put a full payment down in advance.
