PetArmor Performs as Well as the More Expensive Brands

5

For years and years we purchased our flea and tick control from the vet,who sells three very pricey brands. Our vet is a half hour from us,and we ran out, so I picked some of this up at a local store, and I was shocked at the price compared to what I was purchasing from the veterinarian. I compared the active ingredients, and there were the same. I have used this since that day a few years ago. I have had absolutely no problems with either of our dogs. We live very rural, and our dogs are not exposed to other dogs, so fleas are not a problem, however, we live in a very heavily tick infested area, and it is not uncommon for us to get several deer ticks a week on us. With PetArmor, the only ticks that I have pulled off them have been dead ones. Application and the frequency of application is the same as the ones the veterinarian sells. I believe it lasts longer than thirty days, because we have been late in reapplying and have still had good tick control. All I can say is; why pay more for a product that has the exact same active ingredients? Why pay for another company's advertising? We have two dogs, and flea and tick control is costly, so I am glad that I found an alternative to what the veterinarian sells, and that it is just a fraction of the cost.

Great product/Easy to use

This is a great product for the price. It's easy to apply. The product does take a while to spread so it's hard to remember not to pet my boy after applied. The down side is that it gets all over everything while it's spreading over the next couple of days. It wipes off on his leash, the couch and floor. Side Effects It haven't noticed any side effects of this product.

PetArmor meets my dog's needs at this stage of her life.

For years I kept my Labrador Retreiver on oral flea and tick medication. She spent a good bit of time outdoors, running through tall grass and woods, jumping in and out of the water, generally hanging out where the ticks were. Now that she is elderly, and because she has moved with me to the city, her days are spent lazing on the porch in the sunshine and taking brisk walks through the neighborhood, with occasional trips to the park or a friendly yard for a game of catch. Since her exposure is so much less, I decided to see if we could save some money by switching flea medications. I've been using PetArmor plus for over a year now, and she has remained flea and tick clear. It's simple to use. There is an odor but it's neither overwhelming or unpleasant. I have tried other products but some of those left a sticky or oily spot on her coat; with the PetArmor you have to look close to see where it was applied. I like that it's waterproof (if there is water around, she will jump in!). And it has proven to be just as effective as her pills at much less cost. I definitely recommend this product. Side Effects I've never seen any side effects of PetArmor Plus. My dog has had skin reactions to other topicals before but never to this one. She gives no indication of the medication burns or hurts in any way and nothing changes in her appearnace of behavior.

Same product as Frontline

5

This cheaper alternative to the expensive flea and tick products has the same active ingredient as Frontline and works well for our household. With 5 cats and one dog, treating them can get quite expensive, so I was interested when I saw this product. I did my research however because of horror stories involving Hartz products. When I saw the dosage was the same as what I had been buying for years, I gave it a try. It works very well. The only thing you have to remember is that sometimes the little bugs in your area will get resistant to the chemicals you use. Quality of Ingredients While I don't like using chemicals around my family, for flea and tick we definitely need it. It has the same ingredients as Frontline, they were even in trouble because of how similar even their advertising is. Side Effects My dogs and cats haven't had a single side effect from this medication, and I even buy the super large dog doses and dose it out based on each animal's weight.

I wasn't happy with this product what so ever. I put it on my dogs and it did nothing. I gave it time though. I checked him 4 hours after I put It on him and he still had fleas. The next day he even had a tick on him. I tried to get my money back, but had no such luck.

PetArmor Plus Protects for Less

Dogs are often referred to as man's best friend, but they are also one of our most dependant friends. Like a young child, they have to be tended after and taken care of; protected from the many dangers that lurk outdoors and elsewhere. Fleas and ticks are among the problems for which a dog needs special care and one medication that helps prevent these unwanted pests is PetArmor Plus. Flea and Tick Control Facts and Commentary: PetArmor Plus controls fleas, chewing lice, mites, and four types of ticks including the deer tick, which is known to spread lyme disease. The product is applied directly to the skin, is waterproof, and is good for 30 days of protection. PetArmor Plus can be used on puppies and dogs, age 8 weeks and up. PetArmor Plus is formulated for dogs based on weight and it is a highly effective product for killing fleas, flea eggs, ticks, lice, and mites. My dogs have never had issues with lice, ticks, or mites, but they have been attacked by fleas. A product such as PetArmor Plus is just what your dog needs to kill these blood-sucking parasites and keep them away. PetArmor Plus is like the popular Frontline brand in many ways, with one noticeable exception: The price. I find Frontline just a little bit better, but PetArmor Plus is almost as good and with a price tag that is so much lower, I can understand fully why so many dog owners have turned to this medication to rid their beloved pet of these annoying pests. Bottom Line Viewpoint: Flea protection in the past was limited to powders, sprays, and flea collars, but the business has come a long way in recent years with improvements in application and medication effectiveness. PetArmor Plus is one of the many improved products and while I like Frontline just a little bit more, I agree that this is a useful product for those on a budget. Quality of Ingredients This medication uses ingredients that work for most all dogs Side Effects Few side effects, other then the tendency to scratch where the medication has been applied.
