When we rescued out then 7 month old 72 pound black lab we were not sure what food he was used to. I decided to go with a brand that i trust. Pedigree was our choice. We had no problems introducing this to his diet. No digestive issues at all. We had some other food given to us that we tried on him which ended with me being up all night taking him out to go potty. I will only trust pedigree for my fur baby. He is now almost 3 years old and 84 pounds. I trust pedigree to contain only good ingredients for our pets. It contains rice which he absolutely loves. I believe by using Pedigree we are giving him the nutrition that he needs to live a long quality life with us. Do not trust off brands for your fur baby. I have never seen any Pedigree product on the recall list which just helps me trust them even more. I could purchase lower priced dog food but I would be cheating my pet out of the nutrients he needs daily in his food.

Quality of Ingredients I know that the quality of ingredients that are in my dog's food do not worry me. I know that I can trust the manufacturers, at Pedigree, are using fresh, high-quality meats and vegetables to make nutritional dog food. The quality of this brand of dog food also reflects on its appearance, which does not disappoint. Flavor Selection Whenever it is time to feed Cooky, my dog, I'll notice that he is excited to eat. Almost every time I fill my dog's food bowl he will immediately start to eat. This assures me that to him, the food is tasty and not some dog food that is filled with fake or low-quality meats or vegetables (if there are some in there.)

These larger bags are very economical from a cost per pound perspective and they offer enough food to last your dog a good long time. Pedigree Healthy Vitality Dry Dog Food is much like other Pedigree brands/styles/flavors in most ways. It is average at best when judged by its ingredients, with many fillers, meat by products, and other things that are useless to a dog at best, or potentially harmful at worst. From a taste perspective, Pedigree Healthy Vitality Dry Dog Food is also about the same as the other Pedigrees. It seems tasty enough that most any dog will like it, even if they don't eat it with abandon. Pedigree Healthy Vitality Dry Dog Food is an acceptable food for most dogs and one other nice quality is that the Pedigree brand is easy to find. Anyplace you go that has a good amount of dog food for sale is likely to have Pedigree brands in stock. This particular one may or may not be among them, but you can count on Pedigree in most grocery stores, pet stores, and even in some convenience stores. The dogs come back from the vet with glowing reports about their coats and teeth.  So even though the  vet wants to upsell the brand they sell there, they say they must be eating something right if their coats and teeth look and feel so healthy.  I like that you can buy 50 lb bags of it at Costco!!
