Great for cutting produce and meats

5

I am pretty concerned about keeping my kitchen counters clean and germ free. That's why I am always using my Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats. These are clear silicone cutting mats with different colors along the outer edge. The green cutting mat is for vegetables, the yellow mat is for poultry, and the red mat is for red meats. This is a great way of making sure you keeps different food items, that can carry germs, from touching the same mats. These mats are really strong, and I don't have to worry about my blades slicing thru the cutting mat. They are strong enough to withstand the sharpest knife blades. The thickness is also convenient because they can be stored in small spaces. The only negative is that I don't like to put these in the dishwasher, so I have to wash them by hand. I am worried that if I put them in the dishwasher the color on the mats will fade or wash off.

Flexible Cutting Mats

Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats come in a package of three color coated mats to help your organize your cutting: veggies, meat, and starches. They provide a generous cutting area, for your various needs. What makes them convenient is their flexibility. After you cut on the mat, you can easily transport the items to a bowl, pan, etc by picking up the mat and dumping the chopped items into the next cooking step. This is especially helpful when heating a pan of oil and then putting cut veggies and meat into it. Ease of Cleaning The mats are dishwasher safe, but they are also very easy to hand wash using some dish detergent. Durability THe mats hold up well to chopping, washing, and transporting needs. I use them multiple times per week. Design The simplistic design makes them very easy and convienant to use. I frequently use these mats for my cutting needs based on how well they are designed and how easy they are to clean and reuse.

Color coded for safe food prep!

I am always in need of a cutting board but hate how much room the ones I own take up.  I recently discovered the Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats and love them! I had a Pampered Chef party and my consultant brought these as they are in the new product line.  I was nervous when she threw them down on my new wooden table and pulled out large sharp knives.  These mats didn't look strong enough to hold up to the 16 pounds of chicken we needed to chop but after chopping the first few pounds I had to peek and the table was just fine!  After the 16th pound it was still great...I knew it was something I would be ordering! You get 3 cutting mats one in yellow that reminds you to use it for chicken and poultry, one in red for beef and other meats, and one in green for veggies and fruit.  They are flexible which works great for pouring your freshly cut ingredients right into your recipes. I love that they are thin enough to slide into the side of a cupboard and don't take up as much room as a standard cutting board. Ease of Cleaning They don't fit in my dishwasher and I'm not a fan of hand washing. Durability After using these for about a year they are really marked up from the knives. I thought they'd be more like a self healing board. Not sure now if I trust them enough to use them on my wood table (I used to do that).

Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats

The Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats are a great addition to anyone's kitchen.  I like to use mine to cut fruits and vegetables.  Although one mat is for meat, I really wouldn't recommend using them for that.  The meat juices run all over the counter tops and clean up is a mess.  The back of the mat is sticky so it doesn't slide around the counter top.  They are small and color coded for convenience.  You do have to be careful if you are using a very sharp knife, since the mat is just plastic.  I have used mine for a while now and it has small knife marks in it.  The cuts are not all the way through, but I am not sure how much longer I would use them.  A little afraid of bacteria getting into the grooves.  They are a bit expensive in my opinion, at least for what you get.  You can put them into a dishwasher to clean them, which may be the way to go.  Mine still have the sticky back on them, but I wonder how long that will last.

These cutting mats were so greatly priced, I decided to give them a try. I love them!! They are perfect sized for cutting up ingredients. They are also color coded so you can remember which mat you use for poultry, veggies, etc. They are not bulky at all. This is great for when you are trying to pick it up and pour your ingredients into a dish. You can even fold them up partially to make it pour easier. The fact that they are not bulky is also great for the dishwasher. They don't take up a lot of space at all! These mats wipe down so easily without food getting stuck in them. The mats do get cut marks from using them, but that is the way they were designed and it is nothing significant. The food does not get stuck in these marks. After buying these, I have ditched my much larger, bulkier cutting board and just use these. I love that I can use them and not have to worry about a big old cutting board to clean up! Overall excellent product.. no complaints! Oh... one side also has a stickier feel to it that helps it stick to the counter and not slide while you are cutting!!

Imagine a cutting board express

I'm thrilled with my **Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats**. They come in a set of three and are color-coded: *Green *for fruits and veggies; *Red *for red meats; and *Yellow *for poultry.  That's great for eliminating cross-contamination of your **flexible cutting mats**. They're dishwasher safe, so you can rinse them off and load your dishwasher when your cutting's done. **Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mats** covers an 11"X15" surface area to handle a variety of cutting jobs.  The mats aren't grooved, so juicier jobs may make a mess if you don't have a towel or paper towels handy. Once you're finished cutting, you can slide your meats right into a pot or skillet, or pour your veggies into a mixture. The **Flexible Cutting Mats** are not designed to withstand high temperatures, so don't use them as trivets or place your pots or pans on them.  Likewise, when in the dishwasher, position them away from the heating element.  And they are designed for lightweight cutting.  Using a cleaver or even the force of a **Pampered Chef Food Chopper** can damage the **Flexible Cutting Mats**.
