I have always been a fan of the original Monster Energy drinks but this is by far the best! It's absolutely worth the price. I haven't gotten the original monsters since trying this Monster Assault. The design is very appealing, like all the monster designs, but this is still the very best.

The classic monster, as popular as it is, often catches a lot of flack from energy drink fans for tasting too 'acidic.' While several flavors of monster have been released that do not fit this description, especially the juice-flavored drinks Khaos and M-80, the red version of Monster, dubbed Assault and accompanied by a militaristic black and grey camouflage background, fits into an odd place in the scale. Neither 'acidic' or smooth, the drink goes down nothing like energy drinks, juice, or even soda. Rather, it has the texture of water, with the exact opposite of the bland taste most flavored waters have. While it has been called inconsistent, Monster Assault's flavor is both exotic and energizing, and the drink still has all the kick the classic Monster has, if not more.

Monster Assault has to be the all time best energy drink that I have ever had. I bought the drink once because my friend told me to try it and it turned out to be the best decision that I have ever made. Every time that I go to the supermarket and see this drink I have to pull myself back as to not buy it. I recommend this drink to all energy drink lovers.

I have been a fan of the Monster brand for years but this beverage really isn't for me. I finally tried it after ravings about it from my younger brother. The monster Assault variety with its infusion of juice is simply too heavy and sweet for my liking,

I actually liked Monster Assault. The price is not too outrageous, but it's worth it every now and then. This actually isn't my favorite Monster flavor--that would be Monster M-80--but this one is high on the list. The design on the can is cool and the descriptions are always entertaining. The flavor is great, not too acidic or too juice-flavored. It gives you enough of a boost without the serious crash and burn or aftertaste that comes with a Red Bull. It keeps you full because it takes a long time to drink (so sometimes it tends to go a little flat at the end), and you are consuming empty calories and sugar which are the only negative aspects of this product. If anything needed improvement, my only wish would be to give ALL of the cans a resealable cap. Overall I would definitely recommend it. It's a great drink for the average consumer who needs a little pick me up without getting the shakes. This is one of my favorite drinks and I will continue to advocate the Monster brand.

Out of all the different Monster Energy Drinks this one I think is the best!  I can not pin point what the taste is but I can tell you it's 1000 times better then the original.  This one seems to have more of a kick to it.  The black and red can design is awsome!  If you are looking for great taste and a high gain of energy this is YOUR drink!

Monster: Assualt is a delicous blend of cola and the signature Monster Energy formula. It can best be described as coke on steroids. It taste delicious and give you the pick-me-up you need to get through a frustrating day.
