Giving this operating system this high mark is significant for me because I am primarily a user of Mac and Linux. But I have many reasons to like this operating system. It's actually fast and beautiful. It can run on any computer I build. And just about every app out there is compatible with it. Now, sometimes updates cause problems, but that seems to sort itself out after the next couple updates, and sometimes the fault is the uniqueness of the hardware combination, but somehow, the system still can run on it well. Performance Stable and fast. Speed Quite fast, although this does depend upon the hardware. On new machines, it's very fast. If I try to run it on a very old machine, well, I expect slowness. Ease of Use Intuitive and familiar in that the system has built upon what users have always liked about Windows plus it is stable like Windows XP was and what Vista after its service packs became. Virus Protection So much malware is out there and this system is quite susceptible. But there are many choices of antimalware products to choose from. But whatever you do, don't install more than one. In my experience, the two programs fight and the system works less well! Compatibility Just about ever program available for modern systems can run on Windows 7.

Windows 7 - most of us know of it right? However, some people find that the simplistic windows XP does it for them. It pretty much does the job - no confusion, just the right thing that's required. However, windows 7 has been working out MUCH better than windows xp for me. Windows 7 has a lot of user friendly features; a search bar in the start menu for users to find a file hidden somewhere unknown in a computer; large icons on the desktop for easily noticeable items; an expanded help center; features such as dragging two windows to the edge of the screen and they line up side by side; and many more amazing, user friendly, innovative features. Is it really worth the cost? Yes, I certainly believe so. I would definitely recommend this to a friend to purchase. It is not much, and can be picked up at pretty much any computer store. If you're in to fast, user friendly, stylish computer designs then this is surely the package for you.

Windows 7 was introduced to make our lives easier. Beware if you download the 64-bit version of internet explorer. When I downloaded an update for my IE the 64-bit was recommended for the system I am running. If you enjoy playing games online or using anything with adobe flash, it will not work. I keep getting web pages requesting to install the adobe flash player, but every time I click the download it sends me to adobe home page. There it says I need to install their flash player version 10.1.  This is suppose to be their upgraded version for the 64-bit IE. I have done this many times. If you can get the 32-bit version of IE, adobe works just fine. Other than the flash player not being compatible, I've found several spyware and virus scanners that are not compatible. My husband paid for a cleaner he downloaded, we could not get it to work properly. He finally contacted customer service, who advised us it was not compatible with our system and refunded our money. Beware when you download new software, make sure it's compatible. The site he downloaded from said this was compatible software, but just because they say it is doesn't make it. As far as Windows 7 itself, most features make it easier to find things and to use. It just takes a while to get use to the differences.
