My male dog had been having a problem with a couple of cysts between the toes of his paws.  When they would flare up they would be extremely paiinful and raw.  Our veterinarian gave us a bottle of **Betagen Topical Spray**.  Anytime he has a flare-up, we simply spray the area twice a day; and within a few days he's much better.  The spray should not be used for more than 7 days at a time unless directed by your veterinarian and is only for external infections.. Betagen is a combination of the antibiotic, gentamicin, and betamethasone, an anti-inflammatory/anti-itch corticosteroid, and is available by prescription only. This spray should not be used to treat viral or fungal infections,  Make sure you let your vet know if your dog is pregnant or lactating. We call it the "wonder spray" because it cuts down the inflammation in just a few days.  Do not try to self-medicate your dog.  Only use the spray on the original affected area unless otherwise instructed by your veterinarian. If your dog needs to be treated for an external bacterial infection, you might want to ask your vet about Betagen.
