This product is a killer moisturizer. I've never found a hand lotion that works even close to as well as this one does. For the most part I apply this lotion like I would any other lotion. However, my favorite way to apply this product is as a treatment. I apply it to my hands and rub it in. Then I take two washcloths that are damp with hot water, and I wrap one around each of my hands. I keep the washcloths around the hands until the cloth isn't warm anymore. Then, I dry my hands off. After doing this, my hands are literally as soft as a cloud. I love doing this! I do find this product takes a little bit longer to absorb than most hand lotions. However, I work around this by applying less product than I normally would. Overall, this is an amazing product for people with really dry skin, who need extra help when it comes to moisturizing. I've repurchased this product several times, and I will continue to do so in the future!

The LUSH Helping Hands Lotion smells great, and it does an amazing job at moisturizing. A friend of mine was constantly talking about Lush products, so I had to look into them. The Lush cosmetics company is wonderful. All of their products are hand made! They only use vegan ingredients, and they are absolutely against animal testing. They even donate some of their proceeds to help fight cosmetic testing on animals. They use recyclable containers for their products, and they let you know exactly what day your product was made on. I have never found one of their products that I didn't love, and the helping hands lotion is another great one. My hands feel and smell great every time I use it. The container it comes in is a little small, but a little goes a long way. Lush products are a little high priced, but that's to be expected with something that is made by hand. If you haven't tried Lush products, you should check them out!

I first learned about LUSH Helping Hands from a friend who is a dog groomer. Like me she has super sensitive skin and doing what she does for a living spends a lot of her day with her hands in water or other irritating products. We live in New England where winter weather also doesn't help keep skin healthy. When she first told me that she had a new lotion that really worked without irritating her skin I was nervous to try it. I have had so many experiences with new products irritating my skin and waiting for excema to clear up is not fun. She finally convinced me to give it a shot and I'm so glad that I did. It smells really nice without being obnoxious and it left me hands felling really good without and irritation. It doesn't absorb instantly like some lotions I have used but it does absorb very quickly and doesn't leave hands greasy, sticky or leaving fingerprints everywhere. I am really pleasantly surprised and looking forward to trying more LUSH products.

Lush's Helping Hands Hand Lotion is magical. It is 'handmade' lotion that boasts of comprising natural ingredients, such as chamomile and honey. While it is difficult for me to pick out its ingredients based on its scent, I do know that this lotion is luxurious and very effective. Similar to products like Laura Mercier's fig-scented body creme, Lush's Helping Hands Lotion is light, whipped, pink and sweet-smelling. More than that, it is so effective. Its magical properties somehow quench your hands' thirst, leaving them so soft and renewed. Everyone I know who has ever tried it raves about Lush's Helping Hands Hand Lotion for this reason. In fact, I think it is one of their best-selling products, if not the best-selling product of theirs. I would definitely recommend Lush's Helping Hands Hand Lotion. Given its price tag, I would say use it sparingly. And use it quickly, since its 'fresh' ingredients seem to go bad after a few months (smelling not as sweet and perhaps making you itchy, like does me).

I can't say enough about LUSH products. Every time I walk past their shop I am drawn in simply because the store just smells so good and it is an actual challenge not to eat anything. This particular hand lotion smelled lovely and it worked quickly to relieve my dry skin. When I left the shop it was impossible not to constantly rub my hands together because they felt so nice. I would recommend this and any LUSH products to anyone. Scent I do not know how they do it, but they make their products smell absolutely divine. This one in particular was an absolute joy to try out. Absorption There was immediate absorption with this hand lotion, it was like butter and made my hands feel extremely soft. It does not leave any residue behind whatsoever which can really be a problem with thick lotions like this. Effectiveness It was immediately effective and my hands were soft and smelling wonderful for hours after using it.

I really love Lush products, and I live in Arizona - ie bodies are dry here! Lush has been one of the few companies that actually moisturizes my body without a lot of chemicals. I also use it on extra dry patches like my thighs, knees, and elbows. Even sometimes on my neck during the winter to keep skin smooth. Just be careful, this is thick. A little will go a long way. Scent Every one is different when it comes to scents, but I love the smell of the shea and cocoa butters. There is lavender in it, but that doesn't come out too strong, at least for me! Absorption This is the only 'flaw' this lotion has. The lotion itself is VERY thick, and honestly shouldn't even be categorized as a lotion. It is a cream, a buttery kind of hand cream. So because of the sheer thickness of this product, it takes a bit for the skin to absorb it all. However, people using this product should know that any cream will take longer than a regular lotion type product. Effectiveness Godsend for dry skin.

This was given to me as a gift last year and I have hidden it so my husband cannot find it. This lotion is absolutely amazing for dry and cracked hands. It works wonders on all the cracks and fissures that cold weather can create. I have suffered a long time from this problem and this lotion is the only one that I have found that truly fixes the problem. After two days of using this lotion, my hands were returned their soft glamor and I am so glad that it was given to me. I had to hide it from my husband because he started using it and I do not want him to. I do not want to run out of it for myself. I know that it is a little bit expensive and I do not know if I will be able to replace once it is gone, so I need to use it sparingly. He keeps asking me but I refuse to tell him. This lotion smells wonderful too. If you purchase this, you will not be sorry. It absorbs quickly and works fast to make your skin soft and supple. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has dry skin on their hands or anywhere for that matter. I also use it on my elbows, knees, and feet.

I like a thick, creamy lotion, and this definitely qualifies. I also appreciate the purpose behind this lotion, helping others in need. It soothes my dry skin and leaves my hands feeling soft. But I can't get past the smell. This one came as a gift, and sadly, I won't be buying it when it runs out. I'm a fan of other LUSH products, so I'm certain I'll find something else I like. Scent The smell of this lotion turns my stomach. I don't have to smell like a flower garden, but this doesn't really smell like anything. At least not anything good. I find myself layering another lotion on top of this one just so the smell disappears. Absorption It does its job well in the cracked, dry skin department. A little goes a long way with this lotion, and I don't feel like I have a layer of it left after I rub it in. Effectiveness I go through a lot of lotion in winter, so I find myself using this one in spite of the smell because it is effective and useful.

LUSH products are just so yummy. I discovered them years ago and whenever I think I deserve a little treat, I pick up something new. The Helping Hands is just delish! The consistency of a pudding, a light lovely scent and super effective. You've got shea butter, cocoa butter, linseed, lavender and several other ingredients that provide intense moisture. These products are natural and I believe organic. You can try anything and everything before you buy and many of the products come in trial sizes. Like many women, my hands are incredibly dry in the winter. I wear gloves outside (most of the time), but I am scrupulous about washing my hands, use anti-bacterial gels several times a day and lift weights almost every day, In addition, I am a Pilates instructor so I am always changing the springs or otherwise adjusting the equipment and all of this just sucks the moisture out of my hands. Lush soothes the dryness, helps heal the cracks (please do not use this as a substitute for medical treatment for bleeding cracks) absorbs easily and you need just a bit. Well worth the money. Scent I like it, but as we all know, scent is incredibly personal.

I got the Lush Helping Hands for my father, but now I want it for myself!  And I got it. My father has this problem with extremely dry and flakey and hardened skin on his fingers and this product really helps soften it and it keeps the hands soft for a long period of time, absorbs easily.  It does tend to be a bit greasy, yes, but the natural smell of it and the cool container it comes in almost excuse it :).  I am obsessed with the cool blank containers! And the products are very earth conscious!  How great is it! I love the Lush product presentation -- the cool pieces of soap, the amazing smell of lotions, all natural products.  The Lush Helping Hands is not just great for the hands, but also for the body (especially knees and elbows and shoulders).  The cream makes my body glow (especially when I put it on my collarbone area and my shoulders).  I also love Lush Dream Cream but that's another story.
