My first microwave was one that had only one power level and a dial to turn to how many minutes the microwave needed to be on. No rotation. The door would pop open at the push of a button. My second microwave was similar to this one but it was a different brand and died with less than a year of use. This microwave actually has different power levels (10-100%) so everything doesnt have to be rapidly heated and mushy. I can slowly heat things up at low or medium power and it'll rotate while heating up. There are some preset settings for things such as popcorn, baked goods, etc and a defrost button. The door is easily opened at the pull of the handle. The only thing I dislike about this unit is the noise level. It makes a extremely loud hum that changes in volume. I guess only my unit has this problem since nobody else mentioned it.
