When you're baking with clumpy ingredients such as cocoa powder, cake flour, or confectioner's sugar it's important to sift them to get all the lumps out so the ingredients mix well. This simple, easy, inexpensive sifter works perfectly to accomplish that. I've found this stainless steel IKEA Idealisk Flour Sifter model to be completely effective for sifting. I love it for when I make spice cookies because I can sift together the flour and spices and have the spices evenly distributed throughout the flour. Because this is stainless steel it is super easy to clean whether you are hand washing it or putting it in the dishwasher. I usually hand wash it because it is just so easy and fast to do. I highly recommend this inexpensive model over more expensive models offered by large home stores. There's no need to spend more to get a quality product. IKEA offers a great product at a great price.
