I was in the market for a elliptical as an alternative to running. After doing some consumer searches, Horizon models were some of the top-rated, lower-priced home ellipticals. Set-up was really easy and fairly straightforward - I put it together, by myself, in approximately one hour and they included all the tools you need. The features are nice - computer screen is nice and large, it has a cup holder, heart-rate monitor, small fan with mutliple speeds. I like the built-in programs (weight-loss, rolling, intervals, reverse-train) as well as the option to save two of your own custom programs. You can also just use the manual setting allowing you to choose your own intensity, etc... It is slightly bigger than I hoped for but this allows the machine to be more stable than the smaller, more compact models. The movement is really smooth and it is extremely quiet when set on the lower resistance levels and I haven't noticed much swaying, although I am a relatively small, short person. I have noticed a squeak on one side when it is set on the higher resistance levels but maybe it just needs some lubricant. One thing I wish was adjustible is the stride - even though I am short I like using a longer stride and feel I would get a better workout. All-in-all I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it.
