One of the big names in male personal care is Gillette and besides it shaving cream and razors, most men have used and are familiar with its other products, like its line of deodorants. One product I have used multiple times and still come back to is **Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cool Wave**. **Deodorant Commentary:** Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cool Wave is a gel- style deodorant that is dispensed by turning the knob at the base and releasing just a small amount of gel to apply to each armpit. The product is damp, of course, right out of the dispenser but it dries in due time and doesn't leave residue on clothing. Gillette is a company with a strong reputation and its line of deodorants is helping to keep Gillette's reputation solid. I have used multiple Gillette deodorants, but Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cool Wave is one that I continue to buy again and again. It has a very fresh, masculine scent that any man would be proud to wear and the gel offers a good deal of protection that lasts for a full day. Protection is, of course the most important quality of any deodorant product and Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cool Wave offers what you need to feel confident all day. The product stops odor and keeps it at bay throughout the day while the anti-perspirant qualities keep you dry. I have noticed a slight decline in staying power if I am sweating profusely, but even then, Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cool Wave holds together and stops the odor for good peace of mind. **Bottom- Line Viewpoint:** Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cool Wave is one of the better deodorants on the market and one of a handful or brands I prefer to all others. It is a little pricier than the rest, but manufacturer's coupons are commonplace and the quality is easily above average. Add to that a clean, fresh scent and you have a product worth trying.

For my money's worth, there is no better deodorant on the market than the Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspiran/Deodorant - Cool Wave. The Cool Wave is my preferred scent of choice, but I also enjoy the Artic Ice and Power Rush scents from Gillette. Now when the label states "clear gel", they mean it - I have never seen any deodorant reside on any of my clothes in the years I've been using this brand. The Gillette 3X series last long, literally all day with no loss of effectiveness (heck, even the next morning I sometimes don't feel the need to use it!). The Cool Wave scent smells good without being overpowering, and does a great job of controlling body odor, even after a workout. The applicator stick is a little annoying, sometimes the slightest turn of the knob produces more than you need, but a minor inconvienence for such a good product. Reccomended for active people, as well as those who produce "notably strong odors" naturally.

So I don't personally use **Gillette Triple Strength Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant - Cool Wave**, but my husband does!  And although he has an opinion on how well it works, I have an opinion on how he smells: good OR bad! The other day he said to me, "Hey if you go to the store today can you pick me up some deodorant? Same kind though". Which told me that he really likes this product, so I sat down with him and "interviewed" him on why he likes this product: **Gillette Clear 3x Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant - Cool Wave**. So Jim, tell me why you like this product so much and why you won't switch to anything else?: "It works!  **Gillette Clear Gel **doesn't leave any marks my clothing and I can work a 10 1/2 hour work day in a factory and still come home to you smelling fresh as a daisy"  More like a cool wave! LOL He says that this** Gillette Clear Gel Triple Strength **dries quick and it definitely keeps him from sweating: it doesn't just cover up body odor like most deodorants do but as an antiperspirant it prevents B.O. from developing at all. He has noticed that it is a little sticky at first (like most gel deodorants are) but after it dries you can't even tell you're wearing it.  For me, his wife, I can slightly smell the fresh **Cool Wave **scent on occasion and always accuse him of wearing cologne...who you wearing cologne for Jim?  He always says, "It's my deodorant" as he laughs at me! LOL  So to me, as a woman I think that the clean scent of **Cool Wave **actually smells really good, really sexy: like an expensive cologne.  I've never ever smelled B.O. on him for years - so I think he's right, **Gillette Clear Gel 3x Antiperspirant/Deodorant **really does its job while keeping him smelling nice - like a man...correction: like a clean man...yowza! :-)

If you are looking for a good deodorant that doesn't smell like anything then this is the one for you. I have been using this for around four or more years and haven't switched to any brand. It does its job as described. I hate the part about other deodorants like old spice and such is that the aroma is too strong and conflicts with my cologne when I go out. And this lasts all day and doesn't leave a yellow residue on white undershirts. I usually get it in bulk 3 pack. Only weird thing is that when I wear this after shower and not have a shirt on I get a white substance residue.

I switched to Gillette Clear Gel anti-perspirant/deodorant years ago and have never even considered switching to anything else.  It goes on easy, unlike most solids I've ever used.  Solids clump up too easily and spray-on deodorants never seem to last for me.  The clear gel seems to have the perfect balance of easy application and long-lasting protection. It has a great scent that lasts all day long, and you have three or four scents to choose from.  It's the only anti-perspirant/deodorant I've ever used that actually keeps my dry all day long.   Gillette recently changed up the packaging and designs on the bottle and it was a great improvement. The only downside I've ever come across is that occasionally I'll get one that, no matter how hard I try, I just can't get that last little bit out of the tube.  This doesn't happen with every tube, but every few months I seem to get one like this.  I haven't in a while, so perhaps they have fixed this problem.

I am normally a huge fan of Gillette deodorants but this version was terrible. The first Gillette 3X Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant stick I purchased actually broke when I was trying to turn the knob at the bottom of the deodorant casing. That is the first time that's ever happened to me. I should've taken that as a sign that this deodorant was of low quality. I went back to the store and purchased another one. This time, the product did not break. I put it on and immediately I felt a bit uncomfortable. The feeling was like smearing goo on your armpits. After less than an hour of being in the Florida sun, I noticed that my armpits were a bit sticky. After I got home that evening, I took a shower and noticed that my armpits had a slight rash on them. I immediately quit using this product and switched back to a clear solid deodorant which I use to this day. I do not recommend this product.

**Gillette Triple Protection Cool Wave Clear Gel is by far the best deoderant I have found. Working in a management position and constantly in contact with the public, I need a deoderant that is guaranteed to work under the warmest conditions. I have found that even though I use more of the gel type than a stick or spray, the trade off is well worth it for my personal satisfaction of presenting a professional presence to my customers. The Cool Wave is the scent for me.**
