GNC Aloe Vera Skin Gel 1.75oz

This has a lot of other ingredients besides aloe vera

Aloe Vera gel is a product that I always have on hand, and I store it in my bathroom medicine cabinet.  I currently have two brands on hand, one being the GNC Aloe Vera Skin Gel.  I purchased this some time ago, and it lasts a very long time.  When it came time to replace it, I noticed that GNC has changed the packaging and the ingredients, although the name is still the same.  The gals at the GNC store had no idea what I was talking about, and I have not contacted the company to inquire. I have a clear tube containing 2 ounces, and the updated design is a solid white tube containing 1.75 ounces.  My original formula says it contains 97% aloe vera and that it is hypoallergenic, and the new formula says it contains 99% aloe vera.  Call me confused, but the original version of Aloe Vera Skin Gel, which supposedly contains less aloe vera, has aloe vera listed as the very first ingredient.  The "new and improved" Aloe Vera Skin Gel actually lists aloe vera as the 6th ingredient.  I totally do not understand what GNC has done here, but it seems to be they compromised the quality of this product, put less in a bottle, and raised the price. As far as how well the product has performed for me over the years, it has done so beautifully.  I have used this for cuts, scrapes, burns from my curling iron, and even acne.  This is the best acne treatment I have found, as it doesn't dry out the skin like benzoyl peroxide does.  The texture is a little thinner than my other aloe vera gel, and it is colorless and has no fragrance.  I see in the new formula that GNC has added a fragrance, but I don't understand why they have done this. It seems to me that GNC has taken a very good product and drastically changed it for the worse. I really get frustrated when I find a product that works, then the company messes with the formula.  I probably won't purchase GNC's new version of Aloe Vera Skin Gel because I don't care for the scent.  I like using an aloe vera gel that has NO scent. If you have used GNC Aloe Vera Skin Gel in the past, do check out the ingredients before you fork over your money for the updated version.  It may not be what you are looking for. Scent Hardly noticeable Absorption Absorbs well Effectiveness Not as good as the older formula that I loved
