The Equate 12-hour Nasal Spray has been a true relief for me when I am sick and heavily congested! I use it mostly at night-time when I am so congested that I'm not able to breathe! This nasal spray is extremely effective and works just as well as any name brand nasal spray relief! The spray is very simple to use and actually not as uncomfortable to use as you might think! The relief is almost instant and it actually lasts for quite awhile! It has even worked when I have been the most congested! However, I would warn anyone who uses it to not use it around the clock for more than 2-3 days. At one time when I was sick and extremely congested, I used it for almost a week and it actually caused my congestion to be WORSE, which in turn resulted in an appointment to my physician to find other relief! But if you are looking for some relief at night-time to fall asleep, this is most definitely a great product! I would only recommend this for nasal relief - not chest or head congestion.

I have chronic sinusitis and when things flare up you better believe I reach for this. There is nothing like the feeling you have when sinus passages are swollen and inflamed making it impossable for air to flow through. The active ingredient in Equate Nasal Spray (Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride) is the exact same ingredient that is in Afrin except for less than half the price. It decreases inflamation and swelling so you can breathe again. Believe me it is impossable to sleep at night if your nasal passages are stopped up.About one to two sprays in each nostril is all I need to sleep all night without problems. A word of warning though! Do not use it for more than a couple days or it will make matters worse. The sinuses get use to having it and can not stay open without it. Don't be afraid to try it though, because it will sure make  life more enjoyable.
