My daughter received this for her first birthday. She loves pudding painting and bathtub crayons so this was a pleasant surprise as it is mess free for mom (me)! The mess free painting side is a bit of a miss. She can't do much with it even including the "stamps". The other side though is a water pen and a board that she can draw on. I love that she can spend 10 minutes doodling without making any mess and she enjoys having unsupervised art time. The pen is chunky enough that her little hands can hold the pen and she can "clean up" and help, which at her age is a fun activity all on its own. You can hang this on the wall, though we opted just to keep it with her toys so she has the freedom to pull it out and draw when she feels like it. While I don't think I would have purchased this item it is a nice addition to the play room. I can definately see how she will quickly outgrow it though as it doesn't provide much in the way of entertaining an older toddler. She still goes for her crayons and paper, which makes me happy. Sometimes the old standbys are the best!
