This isn't as strong as your average Comet but nonetheless gets the job done. Still cleans and does what you would expect out of Comet. Performance If you prefer 100 percent performance with no fancy scent over 90 percent performance with the nice hint of lavender then don't get this done. Personally it's enough for me, it get's the rings out of the bathtub without too much of a struggle, however there is a struggle. As someone that strongly hates cleaning the tubs, it's my least favorite chores, I'm actually okay with how is doesn't do as a good of a job as the original Comet. It still works good. And I like leaving some Comet in the toilet after cleaning it, so with this one the smell lingers. Scent I like the smell of lavender and Comet always worked in my book so I tried this out. I guess whatever they do or don't add to get the lavender scent dulls down the effectiveness of this product, however I do enjoy this scent.

I get it, I get it. People want to clean with bleach, but don't want the smell or fumes of the bleach in their home, so Comet decided to change their product for the better. I would imagine it's hard to block the smell of bleach, but Comet did a fairly ok job. This cleanser still works great for all types of jobs around the home. I have always used the original Comet, so I figured this would only be an improvement. Since the can says Lavender scented I figured it would smell like a flower, but it's hard to describe. You can still smell bleach, just not as prominent. There is a slight floral smell, that's all. I like to use this in the bathroom primarily, toilets, inside and out, counter tops, and of course, the tub itself. I prefer liquid cleansers in the kitchen, but would use this one for a sticky or burnt mess. I like how this cleanser works, it is gritty and makes a nice paste, and really deodorizes whatever you are cleaning. Overall, it is a great cleanser, just don't think the added scent does much for it, I would take it or leave it! Scent Still smells like bleach

I love Comet for scrubbing and cleaning my bathrooms. I was excited to see powdered Comet came out with a new lavender scent! Upon first use, I noticed it did not smell as strong or as good as I would have imagined. That being said, it does smell significantly better than regular Comet. Powdered Comet is one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to clean my bathrooms. You can shake a little in the toilet bowl and really scrub out tough stains with the toilet brush. I sprinkle it all around the bathtub and shower stalls and use a sponge with a scouring side to really scrub out hard water stains and mildew. It even works well on sinks and counter tops. You have to make sure to rinse this product really well because it will leave a whitish film. Also, this product contains bleach. So be careful not to get it on nice clothes or to leave the powdered residue on surfaces that might come in contact with clean towels and garments.

If you are a fan of the classic Comet then you will probably love this product. The Comet Deodorizing Cleanser with Bleach - Lavender Fresh has the exact same cleaning power as the classic comet and the only real difference is that this one smells so much better!

I usually always buy regular comet to use in my bathroom. Ithink this products performance is great just like the regular comet. You need just a small amount to clean large areas. The one thing that makes this different from its likelY partner is it is lavender scent. I am very sensitive to smells but decided to purchase it to try to mask the strong smell of bleach. The mixture between the two is terrible. It smells nothing like lavender. If you have to choose to get the lavender smelled one, don't. Performance The product works well. A little bit of powder goes a long way. It works on tough or small jobs. Love this product for cleaning the bathroom. I also love to use this product for sinks, I feel like it really does get them clean. The only down side is that it does leave a filmy residue on tiles if not washed off really well. Scent The lavender smell is not so lavender-y. It smells nothing like it and is a harsh smell of bad flower mixed with bleach.

This is the usual Comet cleanser that cleans my fiberglass shower enclosure without scratching. Economical and familiar, they upgraded to a lavender scent, but they should have just left it alone. I don't find the scent overpowering, as another reviewer does, but it's very un-lavender like. The smell is not offensive to me, at least no more than the original, traditional, scent of Comet. The main attraction to me is the Comet cleanliness I get from the product. It's great for getting the soap scum off my fiberglass shower enclosure without dulling the finish of it. Other products just don't seem to have the ability to get rid of the smeary mess of soap scum. For that I will put up with the scent.

Without looking very carefully, I grabbed a new can of Comet cleanser from under the sink, peeled off the lid and began to sprinkle it over the damp bathtub. Immediately, I noticed the scent was different and much stronger. And not in a good or fresh way. Upon closer review, I saw that this version of Comet was decidedly different--a cheerful purple color and a new name: **Comet Deodorizing Cleanser - Lavender Fresh**. Lavender? Fresh? This smell was anything but. Performance As far as cleaning ability, Comet Lavender Fresh with Bleach is equally effective as the original version at clearing out soap scum and dirt from bathroom surfaces. My bathtub, toilet bowl, sinks and tile were scratch-free and spotless with minimal scrubbing. Scent You would think that adding lavender to a cleaning product would create a more pleasant, aromatic experience. Unfortunately, this version of Comet smells more strong and toxic than the original in my opinion. I coughed and sneezed a few times during my cleaning routine, which is something that rarely happens with original Comet. I love the idea of giving an old stand-by product like Comet a scent-friendly update, but Comet Lavender Fresh with Bleach missed the mark with this attempt. Maybe next time, they could try lemon.
