The man in my life gave this to me as a present about 10 years ago and I've worn it ever since. Everyone loves the smell and comments that I smell beautiful. It makes me feel beautiful and sexy and my man says he thinks of me if he smells it anywhere else. It is 'my' scent and is now a part of my persona. I will never change this from my wardrobe !

This is truly my favorite perfume for the past several years. I was searching for a new scent many years ago and the girl at the perfume counter told me it smelled a bit like cherry pipe tobacco. I had to try this because this was what my Dad used to smoke. The smell is very intruiging, and long lasting. I love that when I put on a sweater or shirt after I wear it the smell is still present. To me if you wake up in the morning and your pillow smells like your perfume, it is a good one!!

I have amassed a rather large fragrance collection. Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison is in my top twenty all time favorite fragrances.I really love this perticular fragrance.My favorite scents usually tend to be the spicy ones.This is a spicy sweet scent.It has alot of vanilla in it and I am a vanilla lover.This is a really complex scent.I find it rare for a scent to be spicy and contain alot of vanilla.The top notes are spicy but I can smell the vanilla really well after the dry down phase.It also contains almond which works well and complements the vanilla.This fragrance is one of the most well balanced in my collection.I dont use a whole lot of this fragrance because it is such a powerful fragrance and it has alot of staying power.I always have at least one person ask me what fragrance this is every time I wear it.I have noticed that it can smell overly sweet on some people.I dont have that problem but I would suggest testing it on yourself before buying it.

Hypnotic Poison is a seriously sexy fragrance.  Just enough vanilla to make you smell good enough to devour, but without the cloying sweetness most food-based perfumes have.  There's a spiciness here that makes this an adult fragrance, not a teeny-bopper one.  The scent may seem heavy when first applied, but quickly fades to leave a subtle, yet long-lasting scent.  Several boyfriends have commented on how much they love this fragrance. Even the bottle is beautiful.  The rich red color and black cap evoke the erotic richness of the scent.  Definately not a bottle to be ashamed of displaying on your dressing table.  And it's fairly indestructable.  I've definately dropped mine a few times with no problem. The only caveat I have is that this is not really a year-round fragrance.  In hot, muggy summers the scent seems off and definately too heavy.  As much as I love it, the only use it gets in May-September is on the occassional cool evening. Those in more temperate climates shouldn't have the same problem.

I used the same perfume for 9 years. While I would occasionally come across a new perfume that I liked, I never liked them enough to change. A friend of mine always uses this perfume, and only this perfume, and I decided to give her a bottle for her birthday. The salesman at the perfume store told me that Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison was one of his best-selling perfumes and I told him that I had never tried it, so he let me use the tester and I loved the smell right away. I finished the bottle of perfume that I had at home (the fragrance that I had been using for nine years straight!) and then bought a bottle of Hypnotic Poison. I've been using it ever since!  I think that Hypnotic Poison is a unique fragrance and you won't find anything else that is similar. I also find that it lasts for a long time, so you don't have to constantly re-apply. I also really like the red bottle with the black top!

EVERY time I wear Hypnotic Poison, I get compliments from men and women.  It is a fragrance that I wear more for special times.  But I also wear it when I need to "feel" special.  It's a treat I buy for myself, usually every year for my birthday.  You can wear it all year, is never heavy and it lasts for hours.  Put it on your Christmas list; I promise you will not be disappointed!  It's also a great idea to have the shower & bath gel as well as the creme/body lotion.

I was given this fragrance as a gift & LOVE it. It smells sweet with hints of vanilla, however, it has some kind of spice that really adds something to the sweet smell. This is my go-to date night perfume choice. I feel sexy & playful when wearing this scent. I also love the name. It is fun to tell someone (especially a date) that you are wearing Hypnotic Poision. I use only a spray or two and so this fragrance lasts for a long time for me. Another plus for this product is that the fragrance doesn't seem to change much if you have it for while. Some fragrances change scent over the course of a year but this one really maintains the original scent, maybe it is due to the opaque bottle. I would reccommend this purchase for a nice gift for your wife or girlfriend - it says sexy & sweet all in one little package. The bottle is also made out of some kind of hard to break material (I've dropped mine several times & It has never broken which is nice).

I have been using Poison since 1988 and is my all time favorite perfume. Poison Hypnotic and Midnight (new) are just as nice! The smell is spicy but soft. Does not cause a headache and is not a loud fragrance. It is like having soft baby powder on your skin. I feel sexy and exotic wearing Poison. All the Dior Poison perfumes are in the same scent category but each different.

Hypnotic Poison is listed as having the top notes of Almond, Caraway and Jasmine. You will also definitley smell vanilla but it is not the sugary, sickly-sweet vanilla that is in most fragrances.The first time I smelled it I was fragrance-shopping, smelling all the different bottles and this hit me upside the head. It smelled like nothing else I was smelling. It smelled feminine without pink frilly bows. It smelled mature but not *old*. It smelled bold without being a ton of bricks.It smelled *sexy*. Hypnotic Poison is well worth the premium price. It takes just one or two spritzes and you're set. It will stick around all day (and then some). The bottle is virtually indestructable - mine has survived three moving sessions, being dropped on bathroom floors and a toddler getting ahold of it.I am *extremely* picky about fragrances and this is 1 of 3 in my lifetime I have found that I like.
