I had been wanting this perfume, ever since I had first smelled it. Light, soft, like wearing **Cashmere** on your skin. I love the lightness of 'Cashmere Mist' it's not a heavy perfume on the scale of some, I have smelled. Like way over powering... Finally broke down around the Holidays, this was in a gift pack with Lotion, I was just too excited. I splurged on myself, it is truly my one indulgence I do, it's not an everyday purchase. Usually once or twice a year. Wearing the lightness, softness of Cashmere Mist, is like wearing Cashmere. Would I purchase this again, yes, just not very often as it is expensive, yet worth it. I could wear this scent all the time, save it for those special occasions. Donna Karen hit this scent right in the ballpark, comments from people have asked "What is that scent you are wearing?" it smells that good. Cashmere Mist is truly a scent, I love wearing. Light, airy, soft. I'm sure I'll purchase this scent again, one day!

***Quick View:*** I have friends in high places. OK, well in a department store. I have a friend who works the cosmetics and fragrance counters at a high end department store and she is always giving me samples. Gotta love that. She was blown away by this perfume by DKNY and brought me a few little vials and a large packet of the lotion to try. I am not a floral or a powdery scent girl but this is feminine and subtle. I  won't buy it for myself  (see why below) but it is a wonderful choice for those who like classic warm scents.***About DKNY Cashmere Mist Eau De Parfum Spray***This fragrance is a classic feminine one with floral jasmine scents of sandalwood and vanilla. To me, this smells slightly of powder and then I get the vanilla and floral scent. The floral scent is not "old lady" or funeral home floral. It is very warm and a tad musky. I actually really liked the scent for a change. The bottle is unique and pretty but I am not big into what the stuff comes in. I want to smell great. I tried this and, the first time, I liked it a lot. It started out a bit sweet but simmered down to a super feminine, sexy scent that is good for day or night.But then...I got a headache. That is a fairly common occurrence for me. I have allergies and certain scents just do that to me. I tend toward citrus or very fresh clean fragrances with no floral at all and certainly no powder scents for that reason. My favorite fragrance is Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue which is a fresh, clean scent without a trace of floral in it and I never get headaches from it. That's a whole other scent completely. This one is fresh, sweet, warm, and sexy yet subtle.***My Viewpoint***I am not going to take a star off because I got a headache from this fragrance. I am so prone to that, that it would be unfair to penalize the perfume for my sensitivities. This is a very feminine scent with a powdery, musky undertone that really is sexy. It is subtle enough for anytime wear and I would wear it now and then if I could. I am going with ***4 stars.*** Traditional florals make me gag. This past Christmas I was shopping for a holiday gift for my mother. Now being a men's fragrance fan, I think that perfumes are a nice gift. Looking at the different women's fragrances I noticed many were very floral, very sweet, or kind of heavy. Some that smelled nice didn't seem to last on the card for more than a few minutes. That's when I found Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist. This was recommended as a fragrance that "mother's enjoy" (which made we worry that that meant old lady smelling). That couldn't be further from the truth. It is a nice, light fragrance that wasn't too overpowering. It was a floral scent, but didn't smell like a garden; instead, it was a little bit warmer smelling. It was a perfume, so it would last longer on the skin. I was sold. I gave it to my mom at Christmas and was able to check back last month during a visit home-she loved it! She said she had gotten several compliments on the perfume from coworkers. I think I picked a winner! Now I have worked in cosmetics before but didn't know much about the different perfumes. I have to say, this is a really nice one for those women who don't want something too strong, but still lasts. Holiday shopping for the future is going to be a lot easier now!

I got Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan for Christmas this year after smelling it in a magazine insert and falling in love. This is the best scent I have smelled in a long time. It is unique and fresh. It is not overpowering. When I wear it my husband loves it too. My young sons even commented that "Mommy smells good!" It was so cute. It seems to last pretty well on the skin, whereas other perfumes I have had do not. It also did not give me a head ache what so ever and some perfumes have a tendendcy to do that. It is very classy and feminine and is a scent that I like to be associated with. I hope to make it my signature perfume. It can be found for a good price on fragrance.net and they often run promotions like free shipping. It is a tad more expensive that other perfumes out there (like those at drug stores) but in my opinion it has been worth it so far. I love to wear it for going out in the evening, it makes me feel special.

My husband purchased  this product for me as a gift, i really enjoyed the scent at first smell. Donna Karen Cashmere Mist as a light and refreshing scent that is not overpowering. This fragrance makes me smell sweet, fresh and clean. It also comes is a very nice size bottle so it last for a long time. It doesn't take much to smell great only spraying a small amount will give you a long lasting smell for hours. It has its own unique smell and it makes me feel good when i have it on. I use it alot, and get many compliment's on how good i smell when i wear it. My husband purchased this for me in a set so i also have the lotion which is a nice compliment to this product. If you like to smell like a feminie smell i highly recommend this product it has a very girly feel to it.. also if your looking for something that has a soft warm smell this is the fragrance for you. although it is a bit pricey the larger size makes it last long so it is worth it

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Eau De Parfum Spray has a very feminine scent that is not overpowering.  I received this perfume for Christmas, and I do not wear a lot of perfume because it makes me sneeze, so I was expecting it to be loud, but it smells wonderful.  I always wanted one scent that I loved and would not offend other people, so that I could wear it everyday without thinking twice.  I don't like it when a person's perfume causes my eyes to water and makes me feel like I cannot breathe, but I do like for others to at least tell that I am wearing perfume if they are close to me.  It can be hard to find that perfect perfume that smells good with my chemistry and is not so loud that I sneeze.  This perfume is the perfect answer, at least for me.  My husband loves when I wear it also, and he is very particular about perfumes, because he has so many allergies.  I am glad someone gave me this perfume!

I feel "naked" without perfume, but my HUSBAND usually DISLIKES the scents I like! FINALLY, we AGREE on this one! YES!!! It is subtle [which DEFINITELY works for MY husband], light, floral, BUT a sexy scent! It makes me feel as WONDERFUL as it smells! PLEASE if you are a "lover of perfume" try this one! I SERIOUSLY believe that you will fall in love with it as I did! It is NOW "my signature scent"! WHY? The smell, of course, and the fact that my husband likes it as well. Cashmere is so soft and fuzzy against bare skin, but not like fleece. It just feels expensive, you know? It's comforting, but luxurious at the same time. Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist fragrance is like that too. The notes include Bergamot, Lily of the Valley, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Amber and Vanilla, among others. This is a complex scent that leaves a strong impression. The perfume will react with different people's body chemistry in subtley different ways. On me, the sweet floral notes lead the way and linger for a goodly hour. There is mercifully brief period where a note that smell like a root vegetable on me rises to the surface, but thankfully that goes away very quickly and is followed by the rich, warm spices and woods, which last for hours and are the high point of this fragrance for me. The final drydown is very perfumey on me, like something my grandmother would have worn, and I mean that in a good way. It's very comforting. I love, love, love this scent. The root vegetable smell (maybe it's Orris?) is not unpleasant, just not feminine and is gone with great rapidity. The overall profile of this perfume is wonderful, to me, I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes distinctively warm pefumes.

Hi. I have been wanting this perfume for a while now and recently received it as a gift. This perfume is suttle, mild but has a wonderful soft very feminine smell. It's gorgeous for day time as well as night time. As I mentioned it's a very mild smelling perfume so for a person like me, who gets headaches with strong or fruity smells , this is perfect!. Try it , you'll love it. It's also long lasting and i am a busy mom on the run constantly, but this perfume does not give up on me.  At the end of the day, relaxing in my Pajamas, I can still smell it and makes me feel all feminine and sensual. My husband  loves it too....believe me, it turns him on like nobody's business!!. If you are still hesitating, i suggest you spray it on you next time when you go shopping and see for yourself how long it lasts and how wonderful it smells hours after you have sprayed it. It will be great as a gift this coming holidays!. Enjoy!
