This is a great camcorder that i bought for me to use when i travel because i love taking videos of everything around me. The camcorder can get a little heavy for me to carry when i am using it for long periods of time. the video quality is so amazing that it is almost like i can reach out at the screen and touch it! it is easy to connect the camcorder so i am able to view my video and pictures on my home television screen. The instructions are quite easy to understand and it also has easy to use buttons. I like the screen because it is adjustable and it is large as well. The design of this camcorder is very modern and the whole structure of it is strong. The eyepiece is easy to look through and the lens is also good. the camcorder was on the high side when it came to price, but the price is definitely worth it because of how great the pictures come out when they are finished. The memory capacity is also large.

My husband purchased this item a few years ago.  He bought it because he wanted to start taking home movies of family events, as well as start experimenting with making and editing short films.  We bought our item for a very good price!  We often take this Vixia HD camcorder on vacations with us.  We have even taken it overseas on trips to other countries.  It has always traveled well -- it is still in perfect working condition, even after numerous plane, bus, and train trips.  Obviously, the item is very well made. And, when we look at the kind of video it takes, it is just fabulous!  We have taken lovely videos of family events (birthday parties, music recitals, presentations for school, etc).  The best part about this item, in my opinion, is the size.  It is small and lightweight, so you never feel like you are carring a huge item around.  It can hang nicely from your neck, be held comfortably in your hands, or be packed away in a backpack withou feeling like you are weighed down.

We usually do a ton of work searching reviews to find the best product, however, we were given this camcorder as a present recently.  At first I was unsure, but when i couldn't find a bad review I knew we had our hands on a nice piece of equipment.  First, make sure you have a computuer that is fast enough for you to download and edit video.  We have a new HP desktop and it has plenty of speed to get anything done.  It handles editing just fine.  What we like most bout this camcorder is the high quality video, the ability to record in very low light, the simplicity of having everything built in, and maybe most of all, the ergonomics of the camera.  The screen swivels in nearly every direction, which comes in handy when recording from various angles.  Last thing, make sure you back up all your videos on a separate hard drive. Unlike the old tape recorded camcorders you don't automatically have a backup!

I have had my Canon HF20 for a couple of months now. It took a little while to figure out the best set-ups for certain situations, but now I am very satisfied with my purchase. It even does a pretty good job in low-light situations for the price I paid for it. The photos come out good too. It took a while of searching different sites to find one at a very reasonable price, but I did. All I can say is you should try it yourself.

This camcorder produces beautiful outdoor/daylight quality! It's easy to use, fast to just pull out, and can possibly fit in jacket pockets! It's design is very modern, it being black. It fits into my hand perfectly and I've enjoyed having it around. The lowlight/indoor quality isn't the best, but it's manageable and can also be slightly fixed with the proper settings. Providing enough light though will greatly help fix the problem and become unnoticeable! Although the price is quite expensive compared to similar cameras, it has its qualities that make it worth it. It's 32gb internal memory is enough in my opinion! Especially if you export the videos onto a computer after each big use of the camcorder. The smaller the internal memory though, the less temptation to use it all and fill up your computer's hard drive! Although you can easily burn the videos onto DVD without taking so much space on the computer. All in all, I am enjoying this camera and am glad for its internal memory, perfect shape, and lovely quality in HD!
