I like this machine it is good for the basic stuff. there are no bells or whistles on it. But it is great I have made patch work blankets for my kids and dog also have made tops and dresses and even a Yugo bag. I have also used it on blue jeans and leather it helps if you get the seam tape . Along with other items. I have started to teach my 11 year old how to use it. It makes a great beginner machine. I like that it comes with a CD with the instructions on how to use. The dow side is there is no case for it. so it gets dusty and dirty.

I purchased my Brother LS-2000 sewing machine approximately 6 months ago and it's a great little machine for simple sewing projects. This machine is lightweight and extremely easy to thread and use. It came with an ample set of accessories such as extra needles, bobbins, a zipper foot, and special foot for buttons, etc. I purchased this particular model from an online site-to-store service which turned out to be even cheaper than purchasing it directly from the brick-and-mortar store. Not only is there a manual/booklet included, but an easy-to-follow instructional CD that gives step-by-step instructions for all of its features. Since I do not do 'special' stitches as a rule, this little machine is perfect for my everyday use. It can be easily stored and retrieved for use time and time again due to its compact size. It also has a smooth and quiet motor. Great machine to use day to day and has ample cord length to plug in almost anywhere.

I am a beginner when it comes to sewing. For Christmas I asked for a sewing machine. My husband bought me a Brother LS2000 sewing machine. It took me a few months to take it out of the box and use it, mainly because I was intimidated. Boy was I wrong. When I opened the box and took my sewing machine out, there were printed instructions, with pictures. In addition, there was also an instructional DVD as to how to operate my new sewing machine. It took me awhile to figure out the bobbin because the DVD goes so fast but after so practice, I finally got it. I say this is a great sewing machine if you are looking to start sewing. It is nothing very fancy but it gets the job done with ease. I even like that you can set your machine up to thread new bobbin.

My daughter became interested in sewing a few years ago but we were hesitant to actually buy her a machine for fear of wasting money, kids like something one day and then they don't the next! We got her this sewing machine for Christmas and I figured that even if she didnt stick with it I could definitely put it to good use. Over a year later she has become a great seamstress and has mastered using the machine. She makes all of her friends Christmas gifts, baby blankets, projects for school and she does very well. The ease of the sewing machine allowed her to really develop and learn to love sewing, had she gotten a machine that was too hard to use or complicated I don't know that she would have stuck with it. Recently she took her machine to the neighbors house and helped sew flags for a daycare project. The machine does have a carrying case and travels easily, she can set it up anywhere and it's easy to use. We love it and would recommend it!

I wanted a machine to learn how to sew on, but didn't want to spend a lot of money.  My husband bought this sewing machine for me for Christmas.  I love it!  It is good for beginners.  It is super easy to use.  The instruction book explains everything you need to know to get started, including what size needles to use for different fabrics.  The only bad thing about it that I have found is that the cord isn't long enough.  I put it on the dining room table to use it and have to use an extension cord to reach the outlet.

I purchased the Brother LS-2000 sewing machine as a complete sewing beginner! I hadn't ever taken up sewing before and had no clue what I was doing at first! I love the fact that this sewing machine not only comes with a detailed manual, it also comes with a step-by-step DVD! It is so easy to follow and helps even a beginner sewer understand fully! If you don't catch something the first time, the great thing is, you can rewind the DVD player and watch it over again! I caught on very quickly when referring to both the manual and the DVD! The machine comes with some accessories that are very useful! It even comes with a zipper attachment, to sew zippers onto items, and is super easy to do! It didn't take me long until I was making baby items and doing other various projects! I am now stepping up to more challenging things and this machine has been helpful through it all! The cost of this sewing machine was not very pricey at all! It is a great value and I would recommend the Brother LS-2000 Sewing Machine to anyone who is wanting to learn to sew! Very simple, and easy to use!

My mother bought me this machine several years ago when I was in college.  My mom sews well and her mother sews even better.  I picked up a small skill in it, so I got this machine to start out with.  I love it!  It may not have as many bells and whistles as other machines - not as many stitches and such, but I can't really do those anyway so I don't miss them.  There are still about 20 options and several different sewing heads to use - even for using two kinds of thread at the same time.  I must admit that I don't do much more spectacular than sew curtains, pajamas and the such.  But, this is a super easy machine to use.  It has a device to help you thread the needles which is very helpful.  The bobbin is easy to load as is the thread.  I have never had a problem with this machine.  If you're looking to start sewing or just want something easy to use that is a quarter of the price of the "nice" ones, then this is the machine for you.
