I love the Brookstone Ionic 1875 travel hairdryer. I have long (mid back) hair and I'm not a morning person, so I tend to be running late and in a hurry when I'm drying my hair in the morning. I need a no hassle hairdryer. I bought the Ionic 1875 travel a few years ago when I was going to live in the UK for 6 months since it can be switched between the different voltages used in the USA and UK. I loved that it was small, light, and very powerful. Even after I moved back to the states I continued to use it over a regular sized hairdryer because it was so much lighter and yet it dried my hair faster than many lager hairdryers I have owned. It lasted really well. It worked great for about 2 1/2 years until on a trip back to the UK I forgot to switch the voltage over to the UK setting before turning it on... I'm afraid it was fried. So I guess that's a drawback. You have to remember to switch the switch- it's not like many electronics these days that can detect which setting it needs. The only other drawback is that the handle started to go a bit sticky after 2 or so years. That might be because I left it in my hot car (in Texas summer) for a few hours... but it was still anoying. But all in all, it was a great little hairdryer. SMALL, LIGHT, and POWERFUL.
