From First opening the Box and Setting the Power Mac G4 up it has been working and has not Failed on me yet, That has been over 5 years. Even before Apple went the Way of Intel, I have been Getting the Best Performance from my Power Mac G4. Using Photoshop, Graphic Converter, Garage band, Itunes, and more of Apple's own software, I have not been disappointed. Not only ease of use that is also due to the OS X operating system from Apple, but Upgrading this Machine is a snap. The Power Mac G4 unlatch as easy as a door opening to give access to all of its internals. Installing additional Drives both Internal and External, have been very easy. Installing new PCI cards Going Duel Monitors and even Adding on additional Sound card for Imputing music to convert to Digital was Trouble-free. This is addition to the " NVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics card " that come with the Power Mac from Apple. For Me ease of Upgrading is essential. Being Able to show and run several drives is Awesome. Last But not least, It Is limited In Memory, but I believe this is due to The OS X, it doesn't Recognize fully Newer Larger Hard Drives unless you get a PCI ATA controller for the Machine. I really Love the Firewire, which is a very fast connection, but very limited now due to Apple now not supporting these devices and the use of USB 2. Over all, this Machine will stay with me for a long time to come.

I love my G4 Mac. I have several periphrials that will only work with Tiger, so I keep the G4 running for them. However, I have purchased a G5 tower and did not like it. It was slow & cumbersome--And it was supposedly upgraded to include 5GB RAM! Ha.

The Apple PowerMac G4 has been one of the best computers I have ever owned. Purchased new in 2000, it was by definition (at the time) a supercomputer. The 400 Mhz processor is still fast enough for me to browse the internet, check my email and listen to music with Mac OS X - 10.4 installed. The original 64 megabits of RAM has been upgraded to 256 megabits. The four RAM bays are a big plus. The original 20 gigabyte hard drive has been swapped for an 80 gigabyte Seagate model. The easy to open case and intelligent internal layout made these upgrades extremely simple. The computer only has two USB ports, a definite shortcoming, but the included Apple USB keyboard has two additional ports, one on either side. The graphics card is mediocre at best by today's standards. It will not support a widescreen monitor without reconfiguring the hardware. All in all, the fact that I can still use a ten year old computer for daily activities is incredible in an of itself. Bravo, Apple.

Apple Mac G4 is one of the best desktop computers I have ever used. When it comes to PC's the fail in quality. PC's are much more inferior to viruses and bug problems. If had a choice I would only use a Mac! I recommend a mac for anyone who's tired of all the error messages for PC. Mac's don't get viruses or have clutter problems like a PC. This is the reason I believe that all PC's are starting to shift towards making there processors the same a Mac. The Pro's of Mac is it run very efficiently, doesn't have virus problems, and the apps for Mac further exceed any PC's expectation in my opinion. The Con's of a Mac is you cant use windows programs on your Mac. If you are interested in getting a Mac, GO FOR IT. Its the best and the only desktop computer I use! I'm a musician and I need my computer to be reliable. So between a Mac and PC? GO MAC! My Mac doesn't crash my PC always did! Thanks Mac!

I have used macintosh's for over 10 years. I am a graphic designer and would have been lost without my macs. I hae used PC for graphics and there is simply no comparison. The G4 is an excellent machine. The amount of memory and the speed are excellent. I have had very few problems with my machine. I would highly recommend the mac to anyone, especcially a newbie who is just learning to use a computer, the mac is unsurpassale.
