Most HelpfulHaving been raised in a building trades family and being married to a contractor for absolutely ever, I believe I know my way around hand tools. heh.
Generally a DeWalt or higher quality power tools family/business, we turn to Craftsman for everyday hand tools we know will likely make it to the other...
review »Alright, alright. You think I'm sucking up to Sears' Craftsman tools, don'cha'? Well, listen up DIY babies. I've lived with my female family on a large piece of land for over thirty years and we've had to do much of the repairs (learning as we went) ourselves.
I bought a set of Craftsman pruning tools way back in the 1980's. We used those tools for at least fifteen years and believe me, they lasted. When, at long last, they gave out, I decided to try a cheaper set.
Big mistake. Not only did the cheap tools not maintain their sharpness, they also fell apart. Thinking I'd bought a faulty set, I...
review »Craftsman is a QUALITY TOOL with a Reputation ....Sears has had in the Past had the Reputation of always having the TOOL You Need In the Store, BUT NO LONGER..!!
And on TOP of that...The Tool Department's are Un Organized, Tools in The Wrong Places, Mixed with Different Tool Sizes and OUT OF PLACE, Service Rep's don't Know where to find Items, even when your computer say's you have them in Stock...!
Tool Catalogs offer the tools I want, but I must pay 'Special Order Prices when Ordering' and Must wait several Day's for the Tool, in the Past, I use to Just go to SEARS STORE and get the TOOL I wanted...
review »i recently purchased a craftsman 3 piece prybar set #43278. being a real do it youirselfer and performing maintenance as part of my occupation, i have been wanting a good set of prybars for a long time. Having looked at several other brands, and comparing quality and pricing, i determined that the Craftsman bars where hard to beat. I received a quality set of American Made prybars, for a price comparable to a lesser quality offbrand. These have come in handy in my antique tractor repairs already, and lookforward to using for some home improvement needs shortly. ...
review »True Snap-on has out standing tools, having said that you have to be in the top working class to afford the price tag. A few dollar difference, I question that remark. but as far as quality Craftsman has always backed their products and has never given me a lick of trouble. (broken tool for new).
I can say that craftsman has come out with some very innovative tools for the home DIY/handyman. For the most part the tools are priced a little higher than others, but to steal the Fraze "You get what you pay for" Quality and dependability
Craftsman has been around as long as many others (Snap-on...
review »Craftsman hand tools have the best warranty of all tools available to serious D-I-Y and struggling professionals. The fit and finish are often nearly as good as the expensive "tool truck" tools. They are good enough to "hand down" to younger generations with pride.
And Craftsman keeps adding unique and innovative tools to the line.
Most Craftsman hand tools are still American-made (Imported tools should not be branded "Craftsman"). Thankfully there's still a place for average folks to get quality, American-made products. Otherwise, we'd be forced to buy the junk they sell at Lowe's, Home...
review »I recently purchased a Craftsman Nail/stapler 2-1 air gun. Went home and i just started playing with it. Had no job i really had to use it for, but just waisted every single nail and staple that came with the product. Love this thing. Really looking forward to remodeling my home after i get back from overseas.
The quality of tools and the value has always been there and that is why I use Craftsmen products. My grandfather was notorious for using craftsmen tools and I follow in his footsteps.
