I know that a lot has changed in terms of technology and such since I wore braces, but these Floss Threaders still seem to be a staple! There is no way I could have had my mouth transformed from a crooked mess to a perfect smile without diligently brushing and flossing every day when I had my braces, and there was no way I could have flossed with braces without the floss threaders! I used them every night, in between each tooth and out under the wire of my braces with the non-waxed floss - and I mean EVERY NIGHT! My orthodontist told me if I did everything that he said that I could get my braces taken off within two years and so that's what I did... and in two years my braces were off! At each of my monthly Orthodontist appointments I was always endlessly praised by everyone in the office, they always said they knew I was flossing everyday because my oral health was great and it showed. One tip: floss threaders are fairly durable and can be used more than once - don't throw these away after just one use (if it's still in good condition, that is)!

There are so many different products to use to clean under your bridge, but so far these are the cheapest and easiest to use. My bridge is in the back of my mouth in the hardest to reach place. These make it a lot easier to reach and to get under the bridge and clean it. In fact these are the only product I could use that fit and I could manage to get under the bridge. I tried picks even the water jet thing. None were as effective as this threaded with dental floss for my bridge. After you use it rinse with some mouth wash and you are good as new. So when it comes to cleaning a bridge, especially if it in the back of your mouth like mine, I would highly recommend this product as it is not only the easiest to use to clean the bridge, it is relatively cheap and does what it advertises. The only draw back is if you aren't careful when you pull one out a bunch come out and you could drop quite a few of them on the floor wasting them. Other than that, these are great.

These GUM floss threaders are a great invention! I had braces about 15 years ago and my orthodontist gave these to me to floss, but I never used them because I never even flossed. After my braces were removed, I got a permanent retainer on the inside of my bottom retainer and now that I am in the habit of flossing I use these all the time. It can be a little more time consuming, but it is definently worth it. I think I can understand why kids with braces don't want to floss because it would take a lot of time to floss between each tooth with the threaders. When I go to the dentist they can tell when I have been flossing my bottom teeth and when I haven't. The threaders are really thin and fit easily between your teeth. I just recommended these to my three cousins who have braces. They said they didn't have any left because the dentist did not give them any, but I informed them that they can purchase them at the store.

I got my teeth straightened way back in junior high and when they were taken off, I got a permanent retainer put on my lower teeth. I had no idea that this product existed back then. I definitely would have used it while I was wearing my braces. I use this to floss between the bottom teeth and keep the tartar from building up on the retainer and the surrounding teeth. It is essential to use this in order to keep cavities from forming between the teeth. This is also helpful if your teeth grow close together and you have a hard time getting floss between your teeth. Studies have shown that gingivitis can be a predicter of heart disease, so now it's even more important to take care of your teeth and gums. I also want to make sure that my permanent retainer doesn't have to be removed, due to disease, thus causing my teeth to shift. My daughter is getting braces this year and she is definitely getting a pack of these on  a regular basis!
