I wanted to buy a tripod since I bought a new DSLR camera. But I have heard many times that it is not comfortable to take it every time when you go out or you don't have it when you really need it. I also heard that you should buy only an expensive one because only in this case you will use it and you will be completely satisfied with a tripod. That is the main reason why I delayed with a purchasing a tripod. But one month ago I purchased **Sunpak 6601UT** and I recommend to do the same to everyone as soon as possible (I use it for SONY alpha 350)!!! I take it everywhere! This tripod is very cheap and I would not say that it is a bad one. Some handles made from plastic and I do not recommend to load them. If you will take care of your tripod - it will serve you for a long long time. But other than that this is a great tripod. I take wonderful shots of Philadelphia at night and I also use it in a 'golden hours' period
