Great for outdoor use
I recently built a sandbox for my children to play in, and I wanted it well-sealed against rain and the sun. I stained it first, but then I sealed it with this spar urethane. I was able to find this same product in a spray bottle, so I decided to put it on that way instead of getting a can and using a brush. It sprayed easily and evenly, which helped ensure I got in the crevices of the wood. The main problem that I had with spraying was that I did iron a slightly windy day. I needed to hold the spray can quite close to the sandbox so that the spray didn't blow away. One other downside is that if you don't redcoats within an hour and a half, then you are supposed to wait three full days before putting a new coat on. This made the whole process of sealing take longer than I wanted. But it has sealed well, both against rain on the outside of the box and moist sand on the inside of the box.
