We purchased this rocker/recliner Thanksgiving weekend 2014 when the store was having a Thanksgiving sale, but did not received it until a couple of weeks ago as the matching soft had to be manufactured. While there were many choices of colors and material, we decided on a fabric in a basic color that goes with everything. We did purchase the optional protection for both items. I am really enjoying rocking in this comfortable chair. I could just sit and rock for hours while reading or watching TV or just relaxing. However, I have not gotten use to how the recliner mechanism works. I am sure that once I get use to the way the recliner mechanism works I will find it very comfortable. The couple of times I did get into the recliner mode I really just want to take a nap it was so relaxing to me in that position. You cannot rock when it is in the recline position, which makes sense to me. I recommend that if you are in the market for for a recliner you check this item out and, of course, wait for a sale.

We just moved and gave away or sold most of our furniture (which wasn't much) so we could just start out fresh in our new house.   LazyBoy Furniture Galleries sent out flyers for their Thanksgiving sale so with my parents' encouragement, my husband and I decided to go take a peek at the "extra sale" priced LazyBoy recliners.  Being without furniture to sit on, we opted for a new couch and new recliner -- both part of their extra sales items. We've had this LazyBoy Lancer recliner chair for just over a week now and I've had buyer's remourse.  It isn't a bad chair but I certainly had higher hopes for it.  Word to the wise -- Don't go furniture shopping with 4 children in tow near dinner time.  ;) LazyBoy has different dials, etc. you can adjust on the bottom to loosen or tighten tension, allowing it to work more smoothly for a stronger or slighter person.  However, even with those adjustments, it just isn't what I expected.  This recliner has the stick on the side that you use to open the reclining foot rest but it is flimsy in the middle (ie. just fabric, not support).  I hope our children don't end of ripping it if they sit on it or climb on it to get down off the chair without closing it first. It rocks but you can't adjust the chair back at your waist unless the chair has the footrest up...and at that point (obviously) it doesn't rock.  The chair itself is on the small side.  I'd prefer a larger seat to make it easier for me to read books with a child in my lap.  As it is, I'm an average-sized mom and it isn't comfortable at all to have a child sit with me (or my husband).  That's what I was hoping for -- a comfy chair to sit together in.  Our baby is enjoying rocking in it so that's a plus.
