I love to eat ice cream, but I often have trouble getting the ice cream out of the container.  When I found this scooper for sale for about $8, I was a little hesitant to spend so much on a kitchen gadget, but knew it would get a lot of use.  This is the best scooper I have ever had.  It is made to be durable and works great.  The handle is easy to grip so that your hands won't slip when you are scooping.  I have used this on frozen yogurt and it scoops the perfect serving every time.  The best part is that this scoop even works on hard packed ice cream.  So often I have taken a carton out... read full review »

For years I have been buying cheap ice cream scoopers. I could never justify spending more than a couple of dollars on one. When I did not get the one I had registered for prior to my wedding, we again bought a cheap one so we could stop bending spoons. After a few uses and a few trips through the dishwasher, the metal on the scooper was spotty and looked unsanitary. We had a few gift cards to Linens & Things, so we made a trip out there one weekend and were perusing the aisles for things we could buy. I was drawn to the utensil aisle where I saw this scooper. Kitchenaid makes great products. I am a die-hard bargain hunter but this is definitely worth paying extra for. They are durable and long lasting and look great. They lok really beautiful  and even come in great colors to match your decor. I highly recommend any item that they make. It fits wonderfully into your hand and looks nice on your counter.I love how they make everything so shiny. This scoop stands out form the rest of the scoops. It works well and would even make a great gift for anyone who loves ice cream or being in the kitchen.

I think this is a great item!  Either warm water immersion or simple body heat make this scoop a dream scoop.  Not too expensive if you are an ice cream lover.
