The IPlay Sights and Sounds Splash Table looked great in the store, like a toy that would deliver hours of cool water fun on hot summer days.   That didn't turn out to be true.  The table is too small and holds hardly any water.  There are a lot of gadgets to mess with, but many toddlers are more interested in playing with the water itself.  Splashing and pouring activities are difficult in such a small water table.   The toy isn't especially durable, either.  Water got into the electronics that make the sound the first day my toddler played with the toy, so the sound ran continuously till we took the batteries out.  All of the parts and pieces are hard for my little girl to put together, and many of them, such as the magnetic crane that lifts the cargo out of the boat, require too much dexterity to operate.   The bottom line is, I bought a larger water table with less gadgets and accessories.  My child loved the new table, and the old one is sitting in a corner on the front porch, with many of its pieces missing and some broken.  The IPlay Sights and Sounds Splash Table might be good for older kids who like to tinker, but it's not at all suited to young toddlers.
