This external device allowed me to connect additional monitors to my laptop. Traditionally you can connect only one monitor because your laptop only has one port, but with this device you can connect another, and even more if you decide to buy additional UV+ devices. The device is very small and easily fits inside your laptop bag or even pocket. I have used this on both my mac book pro and my laptop PC. They have drivers for both pc and mac so this device is really universal. If you do buy this product keep in mind that there are three versions, the +12 +16 and +19, each version offer different resolution capabilities so buy the one that fits the resolution you intend to use it with. The only problem with this device is when viewing videos or any other frame intensive programs. The USB 2.0 interface does limit how much data can be transferred and this causes a lag in certain programs or video. Overall it is a great product if you do not intend to watch videos or play games with the extra monitor attached through this device.
