My gastroenterologist gave me some samples of this last summer; I was diagnosed with IBS after suffering chronic constipation for 7 years. It is the only non-laxative product that works for me. I try to take it every morning - and it is noticable when I forget. It takes a couple of days to work at first, but after sometimes suffering a week with no BM, a couple of days was nothing for me. I find there's no aftertaste; have mixed it into hot and cold drinks. When I have an especially bad time, my doctor said I could take it twice a day; even then, no cramps, just relief. I buy it by the case - I order it online because it is hard to find in stores around me. For me, it is money well-spent as nothing else works (Miralax only binds up my insides).

I purchased Dulcolax Balance on the recommendation from my two little girls (ages three and four) pediatrician and also on the testimony from a very close friend with her little girl.  My three year old had no issues with bowel movements until one day it all the sudden hit her and when it hit it hit in a really hard way (pun intended).  It started with her telling me her tummy hurt and she needed to potty.  As soon as she set on the potty and tried to go she started SCREAMING in pain.  I felt so helpless.  I had some suppositories on hand, but she was so constipated that you couldn't even get them in.  I had to make a mad dash to the nearest drug store (while my husband stayed with her while she sat in a warm bath) and picked up multiple items to get things moving.  I swore after this incident that I never wanted to see her in that much pain again.  I mix Dulcolax Balance in her milk every morning and she doesn't even know I do it (so clearly taste is not an issue).  Ever since we started on Dulcolax we haven't had any problems...thanks God!

I managed to get Dulcolax for next to nothing after using a manufacturer coupon I had clipped out of the Sunday paper. I needed this type of product and considering the coupon sliced most of the cost off, I figured that I would give Dulcolax a shot. The thing that drew me to trying Dulcolax is the fact that you could add it to any beverage because it is tasteless. This, indeed is true. It does not clump or stick to the side of your glass or anything like that. However, there is one major drawback that I quickly encountered which made me stop using the product and has actually prevented me from ever using it again: Despite the fact that you cannot taste a difference in your drink when adding Dulcolax Balance to it, one will probably find a horrible aftertaste in their mouth like I did. It did not hit me until atleast a couple of minutes after finishing my beverage, but it was undeniable. I never got to see if this product actually works because after the first time of using it, I did use it ever again for fear of that dreaded after taste and I never noticed any results that one time I did try it.

I bought the Ducolax Balance because my 8 year was having trouble with her bowel movements. She was complaining about her tummy hurting and she wasn't popping everyday or even every other day. I became kind of worried because that isn't normal for anyone. I took her to the doctor and they said to just give her some over the counter laxatives and it should take care of the problem. Well, at first I gave her Milk a Magnesia and that did nothing more then make her stomach very upset. So then I turned to the Dulcolax Balance which acts more like a stool softener rather than a laxative. Well, the Dulcolax Balance worked wonders, she only had to take 2 doses of it and she has not had any more problems in that area. Not once did she complain about her stomach hurting her, or about her stomach feeling upset in any kind of way or having diarrhea. We finally found out that she was sneaking and eating way to much string cheese. So I would totally recommend this product to parents who are worried about giving their small children laxatives.
