Provo Craft Cricut Expression is the best scrapbook tool I own

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I started out with the basic cricut and a year later moved on to the expression.  Absolutely love this machine, the possibilities are endless with what you can do with them.  The company is constantly coming out with new improvements and new projects you can do.  You can cut not only cut paper but now chipboard and vinyl.  There is a deep cutting blade assembly that you buy seperate for the thicker pieces such as the chipboard.  There are tons and tons of cartridges available to choose from from.  The only drawback that I see in these machines is the price of them as well as the carts.  You really are making an investment here, however the cost really is irrelevant when it comes to how much it adds to your scrapbooking experience.  I have made beautiful pages using this machine.  Its fast quick and easy and soooo much fun to use!  I would totally hands down recommend it.  Customer service is also great with this company.

I Love the Cricut Expression! I use it all the time!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Cricut Expression is a crafter's dream! I am an avid scrapbooker, cardmaker and paper crafter. I have had my eye on this product for a few years, and finally decided to make the investment, and have been nothing but elated with this purchase ever since! It is very very easy to learn how to use, and it's a great size so storage is not an issue. For years I have had boxes and drawers and baskets filled with various cutting systems, which all included an exposed sharp blade for paper and die cutting. Dangerous exposed blades are not an issue with this machine. The blade is enclosed in a pressure activated shaft that installs easily into the arm in the front of the machine. The machine also ...

small time scrapbooker

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

For Christmas I received the Cricut Expression.  I am loving it every step of the way.  Even in May when it started shredding my paper.  I called Customer service.  LeAnn and Ashley, with whom, I spoke with was very helpful and kind as can be!!  They did an exchange for a NEW not refurnished Cricut.  I also had forgot to register my Expression, and they still replaced it.  Then when I sent the wrong cartridge back they at no cost said they would send the right on back to me.  One month past and no cartridge, and I called them back.  Spoke to Tory, who felt the need to send me my missing cartridge and one from my wish list for FREE.  They arrived 5 days later.  I can not express how much this experience did NOT rub me the wrong way. Like the other customer service people I speak with.  And the warranty actually did what a warranty should.  A machine stops working and you get a NEW not a fix or a refurnished.

Great to scrapbook with but expensive and no replacement parts

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I love to scrapbook, and I love what the Cricut Expression can do.  But I have invested over $1K in this product and accessories and I am now against a brick wall.  I've had the machine almost 3 years... but really only have used it for about 50 hours.  The cradle that holds the cutting assembly into place has crumbled at the hinges..  Definitely not from abuse or over use.  I contacted the company, and since the 1 year warranty is over, I am out of luck.  They do not sell replacement parts, but if I am willing to mail in my machine (at my cost for shipping), they will sell me a refurbished machine for $200 +tax+shipping (no warranty of course).  What a scam this company has going.  I now have all the accessories, so I need a working machine....rock and hard place....  If I had to do it over again, I would not purchase this, its not worth the agrevation and frustration I have received from their unhelpful customer service.

I'm always finding new ways to use my Cricut!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I love my Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter! I originally bought it thinking I would use it for scrapbooking. Which I do. But the Cricut does so much more! I use it to cut out vinyl lettering/shapes for use on walls or plaques. I use it to cut out paper baking cups to put my cupcakes in (after they're baked -- just to make them cute). I even used it last week to make some wall art for my newborn son's nursery! I love that you can choose how big to cut your shapes/letters, and how many to cut at once. It takes the guesswork out of any project. The biggest drawback to the Cricut is that you have to purchase cartridges -- you're limited in what shapes/lettering styles you can cut out by...

I love my Cricut Expression, it is easy to use

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I got a Cricut Expression for Mother's Day last year and love it and use it regularly. It is so easy to use and has endless possibilities. I have over 10 cartrdiges and use it regularly. I also purchased the Deep Blade and I have cut fabric and chipboard easily.

The Cricut Expression cuts in 1/4" incriments from 1/4" tall to 24" tall. It can also cut mirror images along with may other features. There is also a feature so as not to waste paper and you can center the blade on a picture and it will cut the desired shape centering the image in the picture.

The blades last a long time as I just replaced my first blade a few weeks ago. I go through mats frequently, but re-sticky them by spraying them with a quilt spray adhesive.

My only complaint is when it cuts letters they do not come out clean and tear a lot of the time. Otherwise, I love the Cricut and use it for quilting, scrapbooking and card making.

LOVE this machine!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This has made my scrapbooking hobby so much easier to do! I can use this machine to die cut all of my letters and pictures needed and avoid the cost spending on stickers to complete my scrapbook pages. Stickers can  be very expensive over time I have found.  The cartridges can be a little pricey at times however there are lots of sales and choices out there! I always look around online where I can find cartridges at clearance prices when they are retiring one set to bring out a  new set which is great! I tend to never pay retail!! Just be patient for when they lower prices!

There are soooo many different accessories now that you can purchase to add on to your Cricut but with this particular model you can use ANY sized cartridge so if u purchased some older cartiridges used for the older models you can still use them with this newer machine!! So its worth the additional expense to purchase this model than one of the older ones.

My Cricut Expression has made many fun crafts for my kids!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I received my Cricut Expression for Christmas, and was very excited to get it.  I love that it can cut shapes up to 12 inches wide, and is so easy to use.  You literally just plug in the cartridge, and it's ready to go.  I was slightly intimidated at first, due to the fact that I had never even seen a cricut other than on TV, but it was very straightforward and simple.  I was also concerned about the price of the cartridges, since they can be pricey and each cartridge only does so many designs.  However, I received the software from Sure Cuts a Lot along with the cricut, and that has made the machine totally affordable to actually use.  With Sure Cuts a Lot you ...

Love my Cricut Expression

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I had already purchased the smaller Cricut Personal Cutter & enjoyed making scrapbook & craft items with it, but I felt limited by the size of cutter. I decided to upgrade to the Expression & have really liked the expanded platform & cutting sheet size. My previous cartridges work with the Expression & I have managed to purchase additional cartridges over time.

For creative ideas and support, I have joined a couple of blog/group discussion sites to stimulate the creative possibilities of designing unique cards, scrapbook pages and craft items. This has made the purchase more lucrative for me, I am usually pretty frugal with this kind of product...but I had to have this! Using the Design Studio software, I have been able to mix cartridge items easily. Swapping cartridges with friends helps decrease the cost also.

Wonderful machine is fun but too expensive for home crafters

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Cricut is AMAZING in what it can do. HOWEVER, I find it to be too expensive for the typical home crafter. It literally took me 8 hours to make 90 favor boxes by the time I cut them using the Cricut, then scored and folded the boxes, glued them together and attached flowers (cut with the Cricut) to the tops. It would have been more time-efficient to purchase the boxes at 10 for $1.00 at Dollar Tree, then decorate them with a pre-made flower (6 for $1 at Dollar Tree).

I do find this machine interesting and fun to use. Thank goodness somebody I know bought it and let me borrow it because I'd never buy my own.

Super Electronic Cutter Machine

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I am an avid crafter and cardmaker.   I bought my Cricut Expression machine several years ago, as an upgrade to the original Cricut machine.   I upgraded because of the size of the paper that it will cut.   I love this machine, so much more than the original Cricut machine.   To me, it seems like it cuts smoother, and cuts fine details much better than the original machine.  It is very easy to use, and is great for cutting designs for scrapbooking layouts and for making cards.  The cartridges that you can buy to use with the machine are a bit pricey, but most are very versatile, thus making them worth the money.  Even my grandsons are able to operate the machine with little instructions from me.   I would highly recommend this machine to anyone interested in crafting, and especially for scrapbooking layouts and for making cards.   This machine isn't as pricey as some of the machines on the market, making it an excellent addition to your craft room!

Love it!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I received my Cricut Expression for Christmas three years ago and still use it on a weekly basis!  I have never had a problem with it.  It does exactly what it claims to do!  I use it to cut cardstock and paper, though I have known others who cut vinyl and even fabric on it.If you're trying to decide between the Expression and the smaller orignal size Cricut, here are my thoughts on that.  The Expression do bigger things, which means you don't have to cut your paper down to 6x12 before you put it onto the mat.  The Expression also has features like "quantity" (you tell it how many of each you want to cut), "fit to page" (automatically does the lar...

I Love my Cricut Expression!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is the most awesome purchase I have made.  I was never into scrapbooking, but since I bought one of these I am now totally into scrapbooking!  I love the functionality, and it is extremely easy to use.  I use a spray adhesive when the mat it looses its stickiness and it works great!  The only downfall is buying cartridges, but you can often find some on ebay for under twenty dollars, which is awesome.  And I have several friends who have this also so we share our cartridges and it doesn't cost as much.  There are some tricks to learning how to get good cuts, like using high quality paper that doesn't have a white core.  Also change your blades once it starts tearing the paper.  You also need to learn how to adjust speed, pressure, and the level of the blade to keep it from tearing.  But once you figure it out, it is a piece of cake and so much fun for scrapbooking and making cards and even gifts!

Smaller one does an adequate job for the price

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I own the smaller, basic cricut but have used the expression multiple times. I actually had to teach the owner of one how to use it. The big one is a little intimidating to me. There are almost too make options! It's nice that you can make things so much bigger but I have decided that for the money the smaller one is more realistic. The big one is a lot bigger and simply requires more room to use it. Some of my complaints are the same for both machines. I don't understand how they calculate size on them. I never know how big things are going to be and always have to try and do a sample one before cutting the real one. There are speed and pressure dials as well as depth settings on the blade ...

Great product.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This product is very versatile.  I've used it mainly to decorate my home and make my own vinyl sayings and I love it.  It is a great value and worth every penny.  It can be used for scrapbooking as well (it's main purpose).  You can buy all kinds of different cartridges to go along with it and there are even Disney carts that feature characters.  It's a great tool for anyone who likes to be creative.  Another use for the Cricut is cakes!  It can even decorate cakes.  You can roll out fondant/gumpaste and cute out intricate designs to add to your cakes.  It can make stencils if you'd like to paint with a spray can or you can even cut out foam with it.  There are so many different uses, it's unbelievable.  I like to make glass block nightlights using vinyl.  They turn out so pretty and I've even sold a few since I started doing it.  Each of my kids has one in their room and they love it.  I can also just make up a new one to go with their rooms when they change.
