Apple's iPod Nano: small in size, large in storage.

5

When I first saw Apple's iPod Nano 7th generation, I was a little skeptical. It appeared to be very fragile and quite low on storage space. I'm glad to tell you that I was very wrong. The idea behind the Nano is brilliant. It is the perfect iPod for working out, running, or just relaxing and listening to music. It comes with the new Apple EarPods; which I might add sound magnificent, and the new-and-improved lighting charging system, which takes fumbling for the right way to plug in your charger to the device out of the equation. It is light on weight, but high on quality, enabling the Nano to be the perfect workout device. The storage capacity is great too. Don't expect to fit 30,000 songs to the device, as it is only 16 gigabytes, but you can expect anywhere from 3,000-4,000 songs, which is more than enough for working out and using the Nano on the go. Light on weight, high on craftsmanship, the Nano not only looks fabulous, but its functionality is quite amazing. It functions not only as an MP3 player, but also as a radio, and a movie player. You can also store photographs on the Nano if you desire. In short, if you live an active lifestyle and want a little music on the go, consider the Nano. It will make a great addition to your devices. Sound Quality The sound quality is magnificent. Sounds excellent with factory-included Apple EarPods. Performance The operating system on the Nano is easy to use and fully functional. The Nano has Bluetooth capabilities as well. Battery Life Extremely efficient, a nice three hour charge is enough to keep the Nano going for hours on end. Durability Very durable, although the screen is prone to scuffing and scratching. Ease of Use The Nano's operating system gives the device functionality and ease of use. It may take a little while for someone unfamiliar with technology to get the hang of using the device though. Design Sharp lines, a beautiful touch screen, and an aluminum-incased body not only provides functionality, but provides the Nano with a gorgeous look like no other device out there.

Lightweight, good for exercising, and simple.

I got mine last year, and have enjoyed it a lot. The only drawbacks are that the screen cracks extremely easily, and that although it advertises an app like screen there is only the basic functions that an Ipod classic would have, with the exception of the exercise app. The product is very lightweight, has really long battery life, and a cool design. Despite the flimsy screen, the product is very hardy; I put it through the washing machine by accident and it still works. If you are looking to just have something to listen to music on and exercise with it is a great product. Just don't store in your back pocket. Sound Quality good sound Performance like the screen style, touch screen is good. Battery Life lasts for a long while with just one charge Durability Screen cracks REAL easily, but I put it through the washer and it still works perfect. Ease of Use easy to find music, good touch screen. Design cool design.

Nice, small, durable, great for excercise use.

Love the update version with touch screen. This new Ipod nano is great to use while excising. It is small and and light weight. It has radio and you can upload photos and videos on it. I love the fitness feature it has it allows to time your distance and calories you burn. Sound Quality The sound is really good considering the size of the Ipod. Battery Life Battery life is great if you do not keep skipping songs. if you keep songs frequently it seems to ran out of battery a lot faster than if you just let it run. Durability It might look otherwise because of the size and weight but is is very durable. Have had mine over a year and it is still in great condition. Ease of Use It is very easy to use. It very well organized where songs arranged by title, artist, genre or album. You can also create your own play list or use iTunes create it for you. They made it easy for you find the songs you love. Design The design is what i like the most. It is small and light weight. Screen size is just right, big enough to see but not to big where it becomes bulky.

Great, Fun, Amazing

This was such an amazing from the last generation ipod nano. I never liked the last gen one since it was just way too small and i would have trouble seeing what was on the screen. The only thing I really liked about it was the fact that it was a touchscreen and the handy clip. I also didn't like the models before the previous one either due to the hard to control scroll wheel (in my opinion). However, I did like the form factor of it. Therefore when the new nano came out, I felt as if Apple was listening to all the things I lied about each previous nano and implemented it into this one. My only complaint is that there is no longer a clip on the ipod's back which is the sole reason why i am giving it a 9 instead of a 10. Battery Life Battery life is amazing on this thing. There are times when I would use it intensely for over a week and there would still be a 1/4 of the battery remaining. Ease of Use As usual, it is another one of Apple's extremely easy to use devices. The interface is colorful, easy to read, and simply easy to use and maneuver.

A good MP3 player, but Apple.

Apple. The bane of some people's existence. Namely, the people who get mad when they can't set up their MP3 player using computer software, when their computer won't recognize their new iPod until they plug it into iTunes, and especially mad when iTunes slows their computer down dramatically, taking up 2 GB of space. iTunes also doesn't allow playlist syncing, which is another big mistake. Let's not even mention the times you let it at your music files and it organizes 200 of your singles into 2-folder systems: Artist, album, and finally your song. Or the song clones because it can't automatically kick out any name repeats. Other than that, the OS is close to flawless. It has a slight, but barely noticeable difficulty when I skip with random skip, but I do have around 4,000 songs on it. I think the sound on the iPod touch 4 was better than this player's sound, but the sound is still pretty good. It supports most photos, but you have can't just sync the newest ones, you have to delete all the photos on your iPod and sync them all back. It supports video, but the screen is so small I wouldn't bother. It came with a pair of Earpods WITHOUT mic, which is shortsighted because you need to plug a pair of headphones with a mic into it to record anything. It comes with Bluetooth, and I've been able to play music from my speakers with it. It also comes with a Lightning to USB connector. I wonder why Apple couldn't just use a mini USB... Anyway, the change is justified. There's no way they'd be able to fit the old plug on the thin surface of the Nano 7. The programming takes up space, like with all electronics, so the available memory is 14.7 GB. It comes with Podcasts and Nike apps as well. In this one, you can only change the background to one of the 5 backgrounds in the color of your device. It has a clock with month, year, day, and time (the clock set itself on daylight savings time, too. How nice.). The clock also comes with a stopwatch and a timer (The thing has no speakers, so I guess plug your headphones in and turn the volume to max.). It uses the wire in a pair of headphones as an antenna to receive radio signal, and the radio works well. It will not let you create, delete, or rename playlists, and instead of listing the albums by album, it lists them by album and then by artist. All my compilations play with separate artists, so there's no point in taking the trouble to combine albums. It has the usual scubber bar, and you can view the album artwork. There's no passcode lock, which at first sounds iffy, but later is a great help. The screen is set to turn completely off after (20 seconds?). You can shut it down by pressing and holding the power button until it shows you the universal loading sign. It has side buttons, volume up, volume down, play/pause/skip forward/skip backward, that are easy to get at. It also has a Home button, but you can go back simply by swiping from the right to the left. If you hold down the middle button too long, a monotone voice will start telling you the song info. So far, mine has been dropped several times (I'm clumsy) and lived to tell the tale, and it has a lot of cool features, so I guess I'd recommend it. Great battery life, too.

I love this iPod. I like how thin it is so it can fit in your pocket easy. It sounds great too. Sound Quality The sound quality is great but could be better. Performance It runs good, Battery Life It is okay but could be a lot better. Durability It is very durable the buttons start getting a little wobbly after a while though. Ease of Use Very easy to use. Design Great design.

Great portable entertainment device.

5

This is a very good portable entertainment device. It is easy to get your song, videos, photos, and other stuff. I love the Nike workout tracker, it is really nice to see how much you walked or ran. The FM radio is also probably the great exclusive feature, as it is not on any other iPod or iOS device. Overall, great product.

Good for music

If you don't want all the bells and whistles of something like the iPod touch, the iPod Nano is a great product. It is small enough to fit in your pocket or even a wallet pouch, if you are afraid of losing it in your bag. Basically, if you just want something for music or video, this is the way to go. You have 6 menu options to choose from. Those include music, video, pictures, podcasts, radio, and Nike fitness. It has a touch screen, which is a nice feature. It also includes a home button like the iPod touch or the iPhone to go back to the main screen. The radio feature is really good. You can pick up local stations and it sounds really good. The only drawback to this model is the lightning adaptor that Apple is making all of its products with now. It does not fit on anything from the older models of iPod. This means you will have the get the adaptor part or new speakers, if you have them for this new product to work with your old products.
