Spironolactone gave me back my life. I started taking the drug for suspected hyperaldosteronism (Conn's Syndrome). My doctor took a non agressive aproach only prescribing 25 mg and it has still been a profound change in my energy level, general sense of well being, and self image. Acne, excess hair, balding, chronic fatigue, muscle aches, frequent urination all hours of the night, varicose veins (severe-since age 15), headaches, brain fog, etc. all started to decrease very quickly. I love this medication. It is the first thing I reach for each morning when I get out of bed. I only wish my physician would increase my dose so that my blood pressure would fully come under control.
