The iRobot Roomba vacuum cleaning robot model 540 makes everyday vacuuming easier and less time consuming, than if you actually are the one to push the vacuum cleaner. It is not as effective of a vacumm cleaner as the traditional upright manual push vacumm cleaners. The suction on the iRobot Roomba is not as good and sometimes it misses or drops items, such as scraps of paper. Also it doesn't get into corners too well. And since it is a robot and not a person vacuuming, you must pick up all small items you don't want it to vacuum up. That being said it is still better than not vacuuming at all. It does pick up most of what is on the floor and the carpet does look "fluffed up" as if it has just been vacummed. It can also get completely under couches and beds, since there is no upright handle. It is easy to empty and clean. Especially this model with the improved brush cleaner and removable brush ends. So overall I think if you can find it for a reasonable price it is useful to vacuum you whole house while you are sleeping or out.
