This is better than a butler...quieter & takes up less space & cheaper to charge it than to pay the butler! I love drinking my coffee & reading the paper & vacuming at the same time.Wheeee! Maneuverability Huh? Went waaay under the futon that I NEVER did w/ the vacume cuz I would have to get on my hands & knees. Could not be easier. Ease of Maintenance Empty a cup..how easy is that & clean the bristles as needed..SIMPLE Suction Performance My hair is down to my butt & my cat is long haired..pickes up both of our hairs & any kitty litter he tracks out of his box. Amazing what this thing picks up.

invest your money in a dyson

At first I loved my Iroomba Robotic vaccuum. It gets under the beds and of course I can do other things while it is vaccuuming. It was very easy to empty and clean and when the battery needed charging it right back to the dock and did it all by itself. I loved to turn it on when I left the house and come home to clean floors. The problems I have had is that now it doesn't work at all. It wont come on it wont' dock and now when I plug it directly to the power source it says that it is fully charged. For the money that was spent on this product I would fully expect to get more than 1 year of use out of it. To conclude, If you want to buy a vaccuum every year and pay that kind of money each and every year for the convience, then I would recommend it. However, if you want to pay for quality, durability and ease in vaccumming, I would go with the Dyson Ball.

Save Your Money and buy another bag-less Vaccum

Advertisements and Television make every product out there on the market look AWSOME and TV has the power to persuade people to buy something they say "THIS ITEM IS A MUST HAVE" Be careful, just because something is advertised on TV doesn't mean that the item is a MUST HAVE. Well, luckily I didn't spend any money on the Roomba, it was given to us as a gift...by a family friend. We tried the Roomba out at home for a good month (we have hardwood floor, not carpet) just to see how the product works...because we've had friends who raved about it and some friends who say the machine is useless.. We ended up returning it to the store because it doesn't work like they say its suposed to work in the advertisements and commercials. The machine didn't fit everywhere, and didn't clean like it said it should and did not get into all the corners which meant I had to take my old Vaccum and use the hose to get into the corners and tight spaces anyway where the Roomba couldn't and wouldn't reach. Battery life on the Roomba did not last long at all. The machine also comes with two or what I would refer to as "monitors" or remotes of sorts...the Roomba website calls these "Virtual Walls" which is basically says the following: - Sends an infrared signal to create a 'virtual wall' of up to 8 feet - Block a doorway and designate off-limit areas - Create a barrier that Roomba will not cross Knowing what I know now, about these "Virtual Walls" i must say although the intention and idea of the virtual wall block/ remotes was nice, so the Roomba doesn't get into areas that are off limits..the Roomba didn't execute like the product promissed. The Virtual Wall has to be moved from room to room , even in one room so the machine can clean the room propperly and that to me is just a hassle. I can fininish a whole room with a Vaacum and get into all the corners instead of having to pause what I do to check the Roomba to make sure every corners of my home have been cleaned propperly and then move the Roomba elsewhere... What's the point of that ? The idea of this product was nice, but it's not a good product to own.

I Have had this model for about 2 years and it has worked execlent and after 2 years it finally gave up but if you lose anything expect to see it in its debries tray because it will find everything but every so often it will get stuck on the rugs,  curtins, ect . So overall it is a very good vaccume i have had good experence with irobots tech support a alsso own an irobot dirtdog wich is a vaccume that can sweep up leaves bolts nuts (basicly shop stuff) i have also found a AA Battery in the irobot dirtdog bin if you have pets these will pick up an amazing amount fo pet hair and lint  Also it will do under your bed witch is just awsome and you will be very surpirsed what it finds it has sensors so the robot will not go down stairs and those are called cilff sensors so basicly you can put the robot on your table and it will clean that you do have to do frequent mantnnce shuch as cleaning it ECT

This vacuum is great for people who are busy or who are just plain lazy. It gets to every corner of the room, under furniture, and is great especially for me because I have a dog that sheds like crazy, so I usually just turn on the Roomba when I'm not home and it does the job for me. For sheer convenience alone, I give it four stars. Now for the problems - it's not a vacuum that's going to really clean your floors. While it definitely picks stuff up, I find that running it repeatedly (even after the floors look clean) makes it pick up even more stuff. Sometimes it misses stuff too, and will run right over it without picking it up. It doesn't fit everywhere, and will leave spots of your living room untouched. But if you take note, you can take care of those yourself. It gets stuck on things like the fringes of your carpets, and sometimes sucks up the curtains (be careful if you have low-hanging curtains that sweep the floor).

A great idea with a promising future

I have this product for about two years now and even though I do not use it very often, I had my problems with it. For a while it stopped working just giving beep messages that are hard to understand. It feels like having a pet that you don't always understand and doesn't learn with you. But after a while it started working again and it turned out to be wonderful since. Although it is kinda noisy, it is still not as noisy as a regular vacuum. The greatest advantage that I found is that you can leave your house and let the roomba do its job but sometimes when it goes weird you don't quite know if it stopped halfway through because its software crashed or if it is done with what it was supposed to do. So sometime you would find the poor creature laying somewhere in your carpet without knowing for sure what happened. It doesn't do deep cleaning on my carpet but it definitely maintains it dirt free and pretty clean. Its accessories and replacement filters, parts and batteries are all proprietary and, as such, pretty expensive. To this day I still haven't replaced anything and to be honest I am also very affraid of doing so. In either case I had it already for a couple of years and I am happy with the service it provided for the price I paid in it.

A housewife's dream

I love my roomba, Lucy!!  She has become my very best friend and my favorite household tool.  I run Lucy daily to help with my chore list.  She does great on my hard wood and lanolium floors.  I do have 3 dogs and she does good with picking up all the dog hair that accomulates each day.   She does have some problems going over the transitions on the floor, but nothing a little nudge of the foot cannot handle. She recharges quickly, so if I need her to work a double or triple shift on the carpeted bedrooms I can do it all from the comfort of my couch!! The roomba is very durable.  My son, 2, loves to pick her up and mover her and beat her and such when she is not doing what she is supposed to, but she just takes it and moves on, from the hits, to the drops, she has withstood it all. The one thing that I do have to complain about is her noise level.  She is a bit louder than the standup vacuum, but not annoying.  I find myself having to scream when she is running cause she is so loud.

I did not think much when i first saw a roomba, I did not thing that it worked so well, then my mom talked me into taking her old one and i used it after i vaccumed.  The roomba picked up so much more stuff then my stand up one. I love it now and dont want to do without it.

Great for day to day cleaning

4

We have owned the roomba for over 2 years. It has been a great little vacuum for daily use in my busy house with a 1 year old & 3 year old. I use it every other day in my living room cleaning up everything from cheerios to general dust and dirt. We do not own pets so I don't know how it works for pet hair though.  It saves a lot of time, I am able to pick up the toys and other things off the floor and let it vacuum the floor while I do other things.  It does have some limitations though... it does not deep clean your carpet since it is so light weight it doesn't get the stuff deep into the carpet. I vacuum with a regular vacuum once every two weeks and make up for its lack of deep cleaning. Also the battery does not last very long. It has enough battery to clean my living room and then I need to charge it to do another room. I didn't not purchase the docking station so i need to charge it manually after every room.  Great vacuum for the regular light jobs for a medium sized room.

No more cleaning by the hand!

After five years of being homeowner I decided to buy iRobot. I'm hardworking man actually without woman and I was really afraid of vacuuming manually. This Roomba thing is the most quiet vacuum cleaner I've ever seen and heard of course. The battery life is ok. Lasts about two weeks of normal use. In fact, it's awesome that you don't need any dusty bags. Only con is it can't fit everywhere. It's caused by my low profile couch and TV. Almost everyone of my neighbourhood got Roomba and everyone feels more happy with it. Charging time should be faster. When you need to clean something fast and you don't have battery charged it goes into problem. I hope that new generations of iRobots will have one piece aluminium case as for example Apple Macbooks have. Those armoured things should then last forever. And the ending: Nothing is fantastic, but iRobot Roomba 4150 is great saver of your everyday time.
