Cool design, hot results!

This heater is great for heating a small to large room in your house. I love that you can set the temperature to what you want it to be in the room and it takes over from there, producing more and more heat until your room feels just right. Performance The performance of this heater is wonderful. It does what it says it does and provides heat to one room that you are primarily staying in, therefore not having to run the primary heat source, and it will save you from a large electric bill because you are heating the entire house. It automatically shuts down and it is low in risk of tipping over, which makes this heater ideal. Ease of Use Within a few clicks of a button you can have the heater up and running. It is so easy, just push the up button to increase the temperature to your satisfaction and the heater does the rest. Durability Durability is strong with this product. It was made to last. Design I love the design of the heater. It prevents sudden fall over because of its box like design. It can also be used as a mini table while the heating is still on.

I heater 1500w is very effective

This heater is great in this economy. My home has electric heat we have been looking for an alternative but because of the cost of changing our heating we usually just freeze every year. This I Heater is great it keeps us pretty warm. If it gets really cold, down to the teens and its very cold it will need help. But just to get the chill out of your home it works great. The prices have gone down on the I Heater so I think its a great product. And my heating bill has not been to high. And now a days its nice to save a little money. My husband also loves it so much he bought another one for my sons room. He is planning on buying two or three more for each room.

nice heater

This infrared heater is perfect for a basement, garage or a large open room . It provided warmth without taking up much space or increasing the amount of electricity used. It is economical, affordable and portable. It is easy to move from one area to another, or even one home to another. You can choose what temperature, as well as room size and high or low fan setting. This allows for a variety of setting combinations depending on the size of the area you want to heat. It is super quiet and clean, no fumes. It also stays cool to the touch, so it is super safe with kids and pets. It puts out warm heat, yet the surface never heats up! The only concern I have, is that if the electric goes off, so does the heater. Even if the electric briefly goes off, the heater shuts off completely. It does not automatically come back on. This would be a problem is this was your sole source of heat in an area and you were gone for a long period of time. All in all this is an inexpensive additional heat source that is clean and warm. It is safe, compact and efficient. I would highly recommend getting one of these heaters.

NICE TO START WITH UNRELIABLE IN LONG TERM USE

1

after researching several heaters we chose this one on the level of output and the length of usage in the heater elements however after only owning this just over one year it is displaying signals of breakdown. the control panel shuts down and will not turn the unit on it continues to flash and then turns its self off the unit is clean has not been damaged in any way and the company is only willing to replace it if i ship it back at my cost customer service is lacking and there is no local dealer to return it to. top ten imports seems to be a shady and not very well kept company i would think twice before i would recommend this item or this company to anyone we have not used it for the 60,000 hours that i was told the heating elements were good for this is a poorly manufactured item.

Don't buy something without trying it out first.

I purchased the iHeater last winter. It is advertised to heat over 1000 square feet. I was very disappointed when I received the heater. It did not do what it was supposed to do. I called the retailer and all they would do was replace the heater. They said it was probably a defective heater. That the coils could come loose during shipping. The heater was replaced, but it didn't make any difference. The heater is light weight, has a tip over safety shut off, is always cool to the touch and has wheels so it is easy to move around. All these safety features are great, but if the iHeater dose not heat it isn't much good. The iHeater does not heat like the retailer says it will. For the price paid for the iHeater you could buy 4 other heaters and they would perform just as good or better to heat a room. I have not found anyone who is happy with the performance of the iHeater. I feel the sales picth for this heater is a totally false. If it were as good as it is suppose to be the retailer would stand behind their claim and refund your money if you are not totally satisfied. I would never recommend this iHeater to anyone. As for the savings in my electric bill, I haven;t even checked it.

We love our iHeaters

We love our iHeaters! We've had our first for 2 years and got a second one this winter for the other end of the house. They heat great and are safe around dogs and small children. I wouldn't hesitate getting another one if we needed to!! They are worth every penny!!

iHeater works well in specific conditions

3

First things first:  the iHeater is available in 2 sizes: 1000 watts & 1500 watts.  You will need to choose which size is most appropriate for your needs.   Next it is vital that you use this heater correctly.  Most electric heaters circulate heat by using the existing air currents in the room where they operate.  Either an element heats up & the heat rises and circulates from there or an element heats liquid in a sealed vessel and the heat rises and circulates from the exposed vessel.  Examples of this are electric baseboard heater and oil-filled radiators.  For these types of heaters to work, they need to be well exposed to the air currents in the room. The iHeater does not work this way.  If you follow the usual method of citing the heater in your space you will be 1) cold and 2) stuck with a huge electric bill.  The iHeater element heats up, an internal fan circulates the heat out into the space.  And here is where the design is different.  The set up isn't to heat the air in the room directly.  Rather, it will heat up objects which then radiate the heat back into the room.  It isn't intended to heat a cold space, like central heat or traditional electric space heaters.  It is intended to maintain the room temperature once the room is warmed up. What does this mean?  If you cite the iHeater so the fan can blow freely, you will loose most of the heat you are paying to have it produce.  If you cite the iHeater so it is blowing on dense objects, it will maintain the heat in the room.  Your results will improve the denser and larger the target is.  Now that my iHeater is directed at the couch from about 6 feet away, the room temperature is holding nicely at my target.  I am writing this from Minneapolis, MN.  There was some loss of room temperature last week when the overnight low temp was 23 degrees below 0, but the room temp was only 5 degrees cooler than I wanted.   Please note that I always refer to the iHeater maintaining room temperature, not creating it.  You can use it to create the heat in the room, but it is **very **inefficient at this.  What you can do is use another source to generate the heat and then maintain it with the iHeater.  This is what I do.  I heat a 500 sq ft space using one oil filled radiator & the iHeater.  (Check out what I have to say about my deLonghi oil-filled radiator.)  The furthest corners are chilly, but the bulk of the space is at the desired temperature.  This is exactly the same results I had with my old natural gas furnace. Finally, costs to operate.  I am still in the experimental mode and don't have a final judgement on cost yet.  I will come back and add those notes is a couple of weeks when the next electric bill is here.  For now I can say that the first month I used the iHeater I didn't know about the correct citing of it.  That'a why I stressed that information above.  Used incorrectly, it is very expensive to operate & doesn't keep the space warm.  Used correctly it does a great job keeping the space warm.  The next electric bill will let me know about the operating expense.  I will update that information ASAP. One last thought.  All electric heaters are equally energy efficient.  What make Product A better than Product B is operating efficiency.  That is, how well does the heat energy generated by the heater circulate into the living space.  The iHeater does this fairly well in terms of comfort level created, but the final answer is the electric bill.  More soon on that.

iHeater 1500W Infared Heater Better than expected

5

We heat with oil heat and as fuel has skyrocketed we have looked for other ways to stay at least slightly warm.  With iHeater we are doing better than slightly.  We have been much warmer this winter which has been colder and sleep better.  The oil heat does come on a couple of times during the night whereas before it was coming on constantly.  Probably one of the best investments I have made in a long, long time and love the remote and the timed on or off features.

Not worth the money...electric skyrocketed

We got burned getting the I heater.  It ran constantly even though we had the thermostat set low.  Our Electric bill skyrocketed. I don't think its worth the money we paid...it cost us more to run.
