One of the few E.L.F products I've tried and haven't liked.

Not good for thick/winged eyeliner. I have to put on a few layers for the color to be bold and even. And it comes off a lot easier than I'd like it to. I'll use this sometimes to draw on my bottom lashes to make them look fuller, but that's all I'd use this for. I recommend NYX or Wet N Wild for liquid eyeliner instead.

Great affordable eyeliner!

My friend recently got me an e.l.f. Eyeliner set as a christmas gift and it has quickly become my favorite liquid liner. I have quite a few different liquid liners from different brands, but this one is my favorite. The color is rich and stays on all day, only coming off if you wipe it off with water or makeup remover. The applicator brush is perfect, it has the thinnest tip i have ever seen, making it very easy to do any sort of thickness for your eyeliner and also very easy to do winged eyeliner since it is so thin.

This product isn't the best out there.

I have a few problems with this product. First off, it comes off very easily. It doesn't last all day, which is a shame. However, it is very compact, cute, and is awesome for making cat eyes, winged liner, and a lined eye. It has a little paint brush like tip which allows for extreme accuracy and helps in making your makeup look spot on. It has a very good price. I constantly have to fix my makeup though, which is a huge downside. I give it a 6/10.

e.l.f.'s Liquid Eyeliner is not one of their greatest.

I am a huge fan of eyeliner, liquid, gel, cream, or pencil, so I thought I would test out e.l.f.'s Liquid Eyeliner. I had tried out other e.l.f. products previously and was very satisfied with the quality, especially for the price. Unfortunately, I found that this eyeliner was only as good as how much it was worth, if even that much. While the eyeliner is inexpensive, you get what you pay for. The eyeliner was not waterproof and was rather streaky. When I use liquid eyeliner, I usually like to apply it thickly. It was difficult to do so with this liner. I do not tear up very easily, but this liner still had a tendency to bleed like crazy. The end result was simply not good. Even for the price, I had higher expectations because N.Y.C.'s Liquid Liner is also rather inexpensive but delivers a great deal better than this liner.

NOT A FAN OF THESE!!!

If you have sensitive skin like me, don't buy these.  I never try liquid eyeliner before, so I thought these were a  good start for a beginner like me. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE AND I PURCHASED ALL OF THESE SHADES!!!! When I bought these, I was glad they look pretty easy to apply. So I start with the plum liquid eyeliner, and it STING my eye lid. So I thought maybe I apply it wrong. so I applied it to my left eye lid, and same reaction. A few days later, I give it another try, this time though, I used the silver liquid eyeliner. Once again it sting my eye lids AND THE SILVER EYE LIQUID EYELINER WASN'T EVEN SILVER AT ALL, IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A GLITTER LINER. I was very disappointed with these, so I gave them away to my younger sister who only wears liquid eyeliner. It didn't sting her, but it leaves a mark were she applied her eyeliner, so she threw it away.

e.l.f Liquid Eyeliner isn't bad!

I purchased this liner about 2 weeks ago, and I would say it works pretty well. The applicator is not a soft brush but instead a hard sponge. At first I thought this might be a problem for me because I've always used soft brush applicators but when I used it, it wasn't so bad. I was surprised at the precision of the line above my eye. I guess because it's a hard sponge, there isn't any bristles that could possibly spread all over your eyelid when applying it. I liked that a lot about this product, it's probably one of the best features about this liner, that it's easy to make a perfect line with. What I disliked about this product was that the hard sponge felt a bit rough on my skin. I have very sensitive skin so any type of pressure applied to my skin, I can feel. I didn't expect the applicator to be as rough as it was so the first time I put it on, I pressed it on my eyes pretty hard, and boy did it hurt! After that, I learned to apply it more gently on my eyes to avoid the incident I had the first time while using it. The black liner is very pigmented, and it dries quick so no need to wait around to finish your eye make up. The black is a nice deep dark black, which I love. I'm not sure about the other colors because I've never used the other colors but from what I've heard, they are pretty pigmented as well. The liner stays for about 7 hours on me, which is pretty long considering my skin is very oily and tends to absorb a lot of the make up I put on. With eye primer, it stays even longer. There is minimal smudging, once in a while the liner would smudge but rarely ever. When I put on eye primer, the eyeliner never smudges but once in a while when I don't use primer it smudges quicker. It's cause I have oily skin and that probably makes the product break down quicker and smudge. Some people say they have a problem with the liner not always coming on smoothly or all the way. I've never had that problem before, every time I made a line above my lashes, the line would always come out nice and smoothly. I've never experienced any gaps because the product wouldn't come out evenly. I've had experienced this with other liners but never this one. I like this product a lot the only thing I would change would be to have a little more padding on the tip to make it softer for all the people out there who have sensitive skin like me but other than that the liner gets the job done pretty well and again a perfect line is always a plus.

e.l.f. Liquid Eyeliner is difficult to apply and poor quality.

I love liquid eyeliners, but I absolutely do not love e.l.f Liquid Eyeliner. Normally, liquid eyeliners, while a little tricky to apply, glide on smoothly and evenly. e.l.f.'s Liquid Eyeliner, however, does not apply smoothly and evenly. Instead of just whipping open the bottle and apply, you have to open the bottle, hope that the applicator has enough eyeliner on it to sweep from the inner part of your eye to the outer part, and then feel sadly disappointed when, yet again, it does not. The eyeliner itself comes in beautiful colors, especially the metallic liners. However, getting the eyeliner on your face is a pain, and once it's there, the eyeliners (particularly the metallic liners) irritate the eye as the eyeliner dries.

Applies well (with practice) and stays put.

I like this eyeliner because it applies well if you turn the brush sideways and don't use the tip. The color is rich and you can fairly control how thick of a line you want. It doesn't dry out in the bottle or on the brush. They have great options for colors. I am not deterred by any smell - it just smells like liquid eyeliner. The best part is the line lasts and lasts. You could smudge from by rubbing your eye, so don't rub your eye!  I enjoy liquid liner because I don't want to tug at the skin on my eyelid at all.
