I got a whole bunch of these because I thought they would work as great bases and boy was I wrong. They are very pigmented but fade fairly quickly even with a primer. They also crease really easily which isn't good over eyeshadow. I'd rather spend a little more for nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencils.

For the price you cannot go wrong here. The colors on most can be built up or kept sheer with a thinner layer. I put down a base layer - usually using the E.L.F. Essential Duo Eyeshadows that are the same color scheme as the cream, and this keeps creasing to a minimum. As some have said, creasing can a problem with the product. But this also depends on skin tone of the user. I have combination skin and only have minimal creasing issues. Combining product or using a primer completely fixes this. I use the black and grey shades with a brush as an eyeliner. One thing that I found, that wasn't great - glitter in some of the shades. Be careful and looks at the description as the glittery bits in the cream are fairly large in my opinion and look cheap. I didn't realize that the shimmer color meant glitter. That is really my only complaint. The plastic in the lid separated on 2 of my containers, but fixed quick with a drop of super glue, no big deal.

i saw on a video site a girl used the e.l.f. duo eyeshadow cream in the color called butter pecan #7101 and it looked good on her,i was unsure about this product because i didn't know if it would look good on me because she had blue eyes i have brown eyes.the picture for this eye cream on the e.l.f. website doesn't do it justice.the color is simply gorgeous!one color is a nice summer peach and the other side is a pretty brown.the eye cream is very creamy and so smooth its also blendable too. i can put pigments over the cream shadow duo and i can also put eyeshadow over the duo too!not every beauty product you find is going to be perfect.this has its sets backs as well it does crease alot!if you have wrinkly eyelids i would advise you stay away from this product.and if you want this product to stay on longer use a primer to eyelids before applying the eyeshadow.the light color can also be used a highlighter it doesn't say that on the website but it can be used for more than one purpose.i would repurchase this item again!

I think this is one of the best cream eye shadows out there. The texture and consistency of the shadow is smooth and very pigmented. I never need to apply a lot because a little already makes a huge different because it's just that pigmented. It works as a great base as well, I use this all the time under my powder eye shadows to help it stick and basically become a base for the powder eye shadow. My eye shadow color looks a lot more vibrant and deep when I apply this before putting the powder eye shadow on. This eye shadow cream comes in a variety of colors but this is my favorite since I love to do smokey eyes. I put the dark brown on the outer edges of my eyes and then I put the beige in the inner corner of my eyes. It blends so easily and really makes a difference when doing the smokey eye look. I love it! The eye shadow cream does crease after a while but just a little, if your putting powder eye shadow over the cream eye shadow it should last longer. This is also one of my favorite colors because you can always change up the way you want to set your eyes. Most of the time I do smokey eyes but sometimes I also do a more natural and look. It works perfect for all types of eye styles because it's such a neutral color that isn't too out there. The beige color works wonderfully on days when you want to go for a more simple look. It blends in too your skin giving it this glow as if your not wearing any make up but at the same time gives a shine to your eyes that make you look more awake. My skin isn't that dark so a lot of product isn't necessary for me, I've been using this cream eye shadow for about a month and a half and there is still at least half of the product still in the container. I think you truly get two for the price of one, it works great as a base and as an eye shadow alone. I've spent a lot of money trying to find the right base since I have oily lids and need an eye shadow primer to keep my eye shadow from not creasing and melting from my eyes but with this eye shadow cream it takes a lot longer for my shadows to start fading and melting. The only thing I would want changed about this product is the container it comes in, it's kind of hard to open since the amount of space there is to try to open the shadow is very small. I'm not sure how to explain it but it always takes me a while to open the container, other than that I think this is a great eye shadow and very affordable. Anyone who wants a little more color in there eyes should purchase this product, it's great!

I bought this product in the color "sugar cookie". The shade of pink is beautiful. I wasn't as crazy about the lighter tan shade because it has glitter in it, which wasn't made clear when I ordered the product. They both go on smooth and look great. You can use a little bit of the product for just a hint of color or put on several layers for a more dramatic effect. I found that if you use too much that I start to get creases in the folds of my eyelids. I think using a primer before using the product would help. The color isn't as long-lasting as I'd hoped. I found that because it's a cream it tends to smudge off a bit during the day. All-in-all this product is an excellent value. I've never seen a cream eyeshadow at such a low price. There was an excellent selection of colors, including a variety of basic shades as well as more original, trendy colors. I would definitely buy this product again.
