This is a high quality rice cooker that is durable and made to last. I have never been able to prepare rice on the stove top, but each and every time I try using this machine, it comes out perfectly. I've had my machine for a couple of years now, and it has always exceeded my expectations and made me happy. It is easy to use, and large enough to cook about 5 cups of rice at one time. There is a warmer on the rice maker so you can keep rice perfect until you are ready to serve it. The LCD display is easy to read. The unit is easy to clean and comes with a spatula and few other accessories. Had it not been for this rice maker, no one in my family would eve request rice. It is a great machine that works perfectly.

I am an Asian and I eat rice almost everyday. So I use my rice cooker everyday. I wanted to find one that cooked both white rice and brown rice at a reasonable speed. This rice cooker is very standard and does the job very well. I usually make about 3 cups at a time. White rice takes about 40 minutes and brown rice takes maybe 1 hour to 1 hour and a half. The rice is always very consistent - I just follow the lines on the cooker and it has always produced great results. I've used this for years and never had any problems with this rice cooker. I hope to use it more more years to come. Performance Great performance! Very consistent for both white rice, brown rice and mixed. Ease of Cleaning Very easy to clean - it comes apart easily. And doesn't really get dirty. Ease of Use The bottoms are straight forward so you will not get a headache trying to figure things out. The only reason that I bought this specific rice cooker is that it was on sale for an extremely great price compared to the original and it made it as cheap as a lot of the non name brand rice cookers. I really do like the Zojirushi brand and they always make good quality products and this rice cooker is no exception, it is very well made, very easy to use and it works wonderful. I used to not really take too much time in cooking rice, but now that I have this rice cooker, I find that I am trying rice with a lot more of my meals and we use it multiple times a month. The rice cooker is very easy to use and figure out, if you read the manual that comes with it, it explains everything very well and it makes it nice and simple to use. It is very simple to clean up after as well, which I have had some rice cookers in the past that make it difficult, this has an easy clean up. The cooker makes rice right every time and I am always getting compliments on it, just for how much it costs, I would probably have gone with a cheaper one if it would not have been on sale.

Yes, this is probably one of the most expensive rice makers you will ever see on the market. Yes, it is also one of the best and worth the money. I have had my rice cooker for quite a while now and it has lasted a very long time. I have another basic rice cooker at home too, but I find that I like the Zojirushi because it does many things that my other rice cooker cannot. There is a timer on it so it cooks rice when you want it to. You can go to work and have hot rice when you get home. It will shut off when it is done cooking and keep the rice warm for you. It also has settings for different types of rice. Brown rice takes much longer to cook and requires more water. Luckily, the Zojirushi knows that and cooks the brown rice perfectly! It is fully cooked and chewy, which is what brown rice is supposed to be texturally. I know this isn't really an innovative thing, but this rice cooker tells you what time it is. I think that's pretty cool, but other people might not. The pot inside is non-stick so you don't have to worry about your rice clinging on to it. This also makes it very easy to clean.

I love all Zojirushi rice cookers. This one is great. I eat rice almost every day and I love that there are so many settings and the rice never sticks to the bottom. I usually use the regular and sushi rice settings. I heard that you can also bake a cake in this rice cooker but I have not tried it yet. I have tried a few other rice cookers before finding this amazing brand. I highly recommend any of the Zojirushi rice cookers.

I was introduced to this product by a Korean friend of mine. I purchased one of these for myself and loved it, and when my parents came over to dinner once, they loved the taste of the race so I bought one for them too. I don't know what it is about these rice cookers but after cooking your rice with it, it gives it a more... lively texture which improves the taste quite a bit. It is extremely easy to use, a caveman could operate it. Just hit the cooking style button until it selects the type of rice you have, then press the big red Cooking button. It does take a lot longer than conventional rice cookers but that's the price you pay for better tasting rice. One disappointment is that these are now made in China, not in Japan. Not a big deal, but it should be noted.

We never ate rice because I just couldn't cook it.  Other than the instant kind that is, but that stuff isn't really rice! My husband loves rice, so I did the research and decided on the Zojirushi rice maker. I don't even know what fuzzy logic is  - I guess it's just fuzzy to me, but reviews this was important, and this one has it.  Yeah, I know it's pricy, and I was concered...until I tasted the rice! OMG, was it good!  And easy!  If it can be messed up, I will, but this came out perfect!  We even invited the hubby's boss and wife over for dinner, and even not knowing for sure the spanish rice recipe would work - I didn't sweat it because it did! I can't go wrong. The instruction guide has some varietys you can try, and it even has a porridge setting. I don't even know what that is, but you can make that too with this cooker! Kind of pricy, but rice comes out perfect, what more can you ask for!

I splurged with this rice cooker as I cook rice upto 2 times a day everyday. This proved to be a great investment if I calculate per use. I also wanted to start cooking brown rice for its health benefits. Another great feature of this cooker is it has a timer that you can set a day ahead. I first saw this cooker at a friends house and immediately fell in love with it. I ordered mine within a week. I will put rice in this, set it up on timer and by the time we come home in the evening, hot rice is ready. And the amazing thing is, it stays hot for upto 24 hours. Really, fresh looking hot steamy rice until next day. It's totally worth for my family whose main staple is rice. We have been eating brown rice since. It adjusts brown rice cooking with some fuzzy logic technology and cooks it perfect each time. I even stopped        measuring the water each time. I just use marks to approximately calculate water.

How many times did I say I didn't need a rice cooker?  Too many to count.  But, after being talked into getting one, I had to decided on a type and a model.  My friends all used Zojirushi (as they eat rice at almost every meal) and they insisted that it would make the best rice out there.  A bit pricey, but I got a good deal on one on sale and gave it a try. This rice cooker made the best rice I have ever eaten in my life!  You might think it is not worth it to spend the money on the fancy kind, but in my opinion, it totally is.  It has a timer on it so that you can have ready made rice the minute you walk in the door!  I also use it to cook my steel cut oats in and they are fantastic every time I make them.  You can cook cakes in it, steam dumplings in it, keep rice warm for up to 24 hours, make perfect sushi rice, perfect brown rice.  The possibilities are endless!  I don't know what I would do without it sometimes when making great dishes fast and simply. Well worth the money!
