I bought this Zoeller 1/3 HP sump pump after our basement filled with water during Hurricane Sandy. We did not have a sump pump at the time but sure needed one. I purchased this for about 130.00 at my local hardware story as I needed a pump quick and in a hurry before the water reached my furnace. It was very easy to set up, just plug it in and set the float level which is adjustable. It sucked the water out quite quickly for the size of it. It has no screens so it cannot clog up from debris floating in the water. It is made of case iron and is water tight. It is very heavy duty for the price of it. It plugs into a standard outlet. It is not too heavy and weighs about 25 pounds so it is not heavy for me to move. You can use this anywhere water pools up where it is not needed. I have used it to empty my fishponds as well and it works great! I just have it pump out the water and then it is simple to clean the pond. You could also use it to pump out pools or any water source that needs pumping. I recommend this Zoeller Sump Pump 1/3 Hp sump pump. The price is reasonable and the pump works hard to deliver fast results! If you need a sump pump but do not want to spend alot of money, this one is reasonable and comes with a 3 year warranty.

If you've ever been unlucky enough to have a basement flood, you'll also know how important it is to select the right type of sump pump. The house we lived in just prior to this one had an awful plumbing system and our basement paid the price. Zoeller Sump Pump was suggested. Soon after this model was installed we noticed a difference. I had to get it professionally installed because I didn't have a real clue of how to do it myself. After the Sump Pump was installed, we never had another flooded basement or a back up in our back lawn. I am quite impressed with the way it works so efficiently and about how often it pumps. It is also relatively among the quietest that I have had experience with. My only suggestion would be to ask for advice prior to purchase if you are as clueless as I was.
