My dogs love to be outdoors and if there is mud within a quarter of a mile they will find it and start playing in it. That can be an open invitation for them to bring in fleas and ticks. While fleas are bothersome, a tick bite can cause serious problems. I started using Zodiac when my friend recommended it; she takes my dogs when I am on vacation or in the hospital. Since she has property in the country the dogs get to run outside for most of the day but she calls them in before dusk so she can give them a quick bath. She squirts them down then uses the Zodiac Flea and Tick Shampoo on each of them; by time she is done applying the shampoo to the last one, the first one is ready to be rinsed. I have to wear gloves when I use this because the coconut oil in the shampoo irritates my skin. The dogs can be a little fickle when it comes to getting a bath in the bathroom tub but if I do it outside they don't jump around or try to "escape".

A few months ago my cat had fleas. I took her to get a flea bath at the pet grooming salon and the owner told me to buy Zodiac Fleatrol Flea and Tick Shampoo and bathe her with it at least once a month. I immediately went to the pet store and purchased it. I began bathing her with it a month after. If you have a cat you might know how hard it is to get them in water, and of course my cat is no exception. I had a very hard bathing her but the shampoo was so easy to use. I put some in the palm of my hand and I began rubbing it all over the cat's body with a little bit of water running from the faucet. It didn't have a powerful foam which was great so it wouldn't scare the cat even more. It didn't have a strong or uncomfortable smell either. I rubbed it on her for a few minutes and washed it off. It washed away very easily leaving behind no residue what so ever. I still use Zodiac Fleatrol Flea and Tick Shampoo to bathe my cat once a month. It is great and I haven't seen her itch since I began using it. No more fleas for my cat as long as I am using this shampoo for her.

I have several dogs and have used Zodiac flea products for everyone.  It works quickly and the dogs have no adverse reactions.  They are happy to be relieved of pests in a hurry. I have recommended the flea spray to friends with both dogs and cats and they have also had great results.  Good products.  I would trust Zodiac.

We had two dogs and lived in a very remote location. While we had always treated them with over the coutner flea and tick medicine/shampoo when we lived in the city. We never had an issue. Then we moved to a very rural area and the tick population was INSANELY large. I decided to upgrade from the Hartz flea tick shampoo to the Zodiac Fleatrol Flea and Tick Shampoo. It was significantly more expensive but I was DESPERATE. I can't have the two dogs brining ticks into the house (they gross me out!) This shampoo may have made a small dent in the number of ticks but it certainly wasn't doing the job. Ticks were on the coats within 2 days. Desperate I called the veternarian and was told that I needed to give them prescription flea/tick medicine (which is an oil you apply in a patch between their shoulder blades once a month.) Compared to that medicine the Zodiac is a steal - but the prescription medicine solves the issue completely. The only place I found ticks were in my long coated dogs bed - dead once in a great while. Worth EVERY penny to get the prescription medicine. The medicine is easy to use - it has a great smell. It leaves the dog's coat in great condition - (shiny and soft.) BUT it doesn't control the ticks.

Zodiac Fleatrol Flea and Tick Shampoo is the first line of defense, short term, against fleas for dogs coming through our animal rescue. This shampoo is highly effective to initially clean and rid dogs of fleas and ticks until we can get the dog on a monthly flea and tick control system. We, as the animal caretakers, have found it to be strong enough to work, yet gentle enough for those dogs who may be under stress by being up-rooted from their and transported into rescue. Zodiac Fleatrol Flea and Tick Shampoo also seems to clean the dog's fur so effectively, that the fur comes out of the wash softer and and best of all, degreased without being stripped. We find the smell of Zodiac Fleatrol Shampoo to be mildly pleasing without being over whelming and the dogs do not seem to mind it either. To date, we have not had any bad reactions by dog or human to Zodiac Fleatrol Flea and Tick Shampoo.

For the price you would think it would work on the fleas but all it did was just slow them down. I had my lawn treated by a professional along with in my home. I payed good money for this shampoo. When I went to comb her after her bath I still found LIVE fleas, This dog is short hair so they did not hide in heavy fur. Very disappointed in this shampoo. Purchased another brand and got better results.
