Yes to Carrots Hand Cream

The Yes To Carrots Daily Softening Hand and Elbow Cream works well, but I don't like the smell. I'm a huge fan of the entire Yes To line, and I try every new product as soon as I find it. I've tried a few of the products from the carrots line, but I haven't liked many of them. My hands and elbows stay very dry, so I was hopeful this cream would help me. When I first put it on, I noticed that I did not like the smell. The other carrot products didn't have a bad smell, but this one did. I put it on anyway because I assumed the scent would fade. My hands instantly felt silky, and the smell wasn't as noticeable once it was on my hands. I ended up having to reapply the cream three times a day, but my hands were so soft. The dry patches on my elbows were almost unnoticeable after just one day. The smell lingered the entire day, and I didn't like that too much. The scent wasn't enough to make me stop using the hand cream.

A lightweight hand cream

I have very dry hands, and this wasn't a very effective solution to my chapped, rough hands. It is more of a light weight lotion than a moisturizing hand cream. It left my hands rough and hard, not smooth and soft like it promised. Scent It has no distinctive fragrance. Absorption This formula is really light weight, so skin absorbs it quickly and effectively. It reminds me more of a light lotion, not a rich hand cream. Effectiveness I wash my hands often because right now it is the middle of winter and the flu is going around, so I need a hand cream that adds moisture back into my chapped, dry hands. This product doesn't really add any moisture into my hands, and left me very disappointed. Usually, the Yes To brand has great, effective products, but unfortunately, this product wasn't one of them. It basically did nothing to help me, and I won't buy it ever again. I think I'll just use it as a body lotion, not a hand cream.

Nice cream

The Yes to Carrots Daily Softening Hand and Elbow Cream is a really nice and thick cream. I have extremely dry hands and elbows, so I like to apply this Yes to Carrots product specifically to those areas. The dry itchy areas no longer itch and the cream does a fantastic job of softening my skin!

So Expensive!

The product itself is nice. I wasn't a fan and would not buy it again. It was very expensive for grocery store brand. It is natural and better for you but the price and performance out weighs any desire to buy it again. Scent The scent was mild and almost non existent. Because of the minimal scent there was no irritation on my skin that is normally associated with a heavily scented product. This is also a big plus if your hands are cracked or raw from dryness, No scent means no burning or rash. Absorption It absorbed fine but left a slightly sticky feeling on the skin, especially the palms of the hands. Absorption took a few minutes but because of the sticky feeling I found I had to do a water rinse to get the sticky feeling off. It was an overall pleasant product but I don't want to have to make so many adjustments to use a lotion or wash it down the sink. Effectiveness It worked just fine, nothing great. It took care of the dry hands and did not irritate or burn the extremely dry skin that was raw. It didn't sooth it either. I would suggest using this product at night and sleeping with it on your hands and elbows, this method will eliminate all the other downsides. If you like the idea of a more natural product and are willing to pay a bit more, this is the product for you. For me the cost is just too high.

Refreshing

This lotion and line of products are incredible. Knowing that I am treating my body to something made by mother nature is so refreshing. This moisturizer leaves your skin energized and soft as a bunnies fur. My skin has had a glow and softness like never before. I love it. Definitely worth the price!

softening but can't stand the scent

I wanted to try something new and natural thats at a reasonable price and ended up choosing Yes To. Yes To Carrots is a thick cream lotion for hand and body. I really like the results of the cream but the scent gives me a headache. I am very sensitive to smell and so I tend to gravitate towards scentless products. I recommend it to anyone with dry cracked skin. It really does work well and the results are visible after the first use. A few more applications and your skin is healed. Scent I can't stand the smell. It gives me a headache. Its pretty strong and theres nothing wrong with the smell its just for me and my sensitive nose that doesn't take well to it. Absorption Works really well and the absorbs pretty quick after application. Effectiveness It does work well on dry cracked skin. It does take a couple applications before you see the full results but after one application you can see that the cracks begin to heal.

Softer skin with natural ingredients, and it's affordable too!

After learning about how washing my hands can decrease the transmission of diseases, and how touching fomites, such as door knobs can leave my hands full of bacteria, I started washing my hands more frequently than before. This is all in good fun until my hands are dry and brittle and full of papercuts. I am still a student, so that means I am not rich at all. I was out to find an affordable option to moisturize my hands. First I tried normal body lotion, they are not thick enough to for a nice layer of protection to keep the moisture in my hands for them to heal. Then I tried some other brands of lotion specially formulated for cracking hands, and they were too thick, making it hard for me touch anything after I put it on. Finally, I found the Hand and Elbow cream by Yes to carrots. The touch was just perfect, thick enough to make my skin feel soft, and not too heavy as to leaving oily fingerprints on everything I touch. It is full of natural ingredients, such as carrot juice, rosemary extract, aloe, sesame, avocado, almond, etc. and surprisingly, it is much more affordable than any other natural brand you might find at Whole Foods. One negative thing I've heard my boyfriend complain about was that the smell is not the most pleasant, but I think it smells like natural goodness, like carrots, the main ingredient (besides water).

Yes to Carrots Hand Cream is the answer to dry hands!

I have tried many hand creams for myself and my "construction worker" husband.  I was looking for something that really worked.  I hated the greasy feeling that many creams created and neither of us wanted anything that had a real fragrance to it. The price may seem steep but you are getting a 6.76 ounce tube so keep that in mind.  And since it really works I do not mind paying for it.  I wish that I could have all of the money back that I wasted on the products I purchased before this!  I also use it on my arms and legs.  It is thick, rich, and does not have a overpowering odor.  A little bit goes a long way so use it sparingly.  Your dry skin will absorb this lotion and you can still feel the softness hours later.  There is also no need to reapply it every time you wash your hands. I love that it is made from so many natural ingredients.  Some of the ingredients are carrot juice, pumpkin juice, sweet potato juice, carrot seed oil, etc. It's a great hand cream!
