Yardley of London Has Been A Long Time Favorite

4

I have used Yardley of London soaps for quite a few years. When I had to stop using all products with sodium lauryl sulfate, for some reason, these soaps were tossed along with the rest of the soaps I had to get rid of. I have recently started using them again now and then and found that they are still a decent soap, but some of the newer ones are not nearly as nice as they used to be. My favorite soaps from this company were the English Lavender and the Rose. The new replacement for the Rose is now Pomegranate Rose and it is not nearly as nice. I don't like the scent anymore and the performance is not as creamy or nice either- which is why I rated this four stars. I have used the Aloe, Oatmeal Almond, and Shea Butter as well. The soaps are creamy and don't strip the skin terribly as many soaps do. I do prefer the older formula over the current ones however. The scents were nicer and the soap seems a little creamier. Still all in all, these are nice creamy soaps and much nicer than most bar soaps on the market in the US, other than home made soaps that we enjoy using from various companies we like to purchase from. **INGREDIENTS** *Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Cocoate, Water (Aqua), Fragrance (Parfum) (Parfum), Coconut Acid, Petrolatum, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Iron Oxides (CI 77489, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)* Effectiveness Although the Oatmeal Almond and English Lavender are still nice, I am not thrilled with the Pomegranate Rose or the Cucumber Aloe, however, as they don't seem as creamy to me. A bar does not last quite as long in the shower as custom made soap does (we like Sallyeander soaps a lot) but it does last longer than many mainstream brands you get at the store. Scent I like the Oatmeal Almond and English Lavender, but I am not a big fan of the Aloe Cucumber or the Pomegranate Rose. The Shea Butter is nice but not WOW. The scent is nice when taking a shower, but it does not linger too strongly so it is popular with men as well as women in our house.

Yardley of London Bar Soaps have been a favorite of mine for many years. I first started using them when I lived in England. When I was little it was Life Boy soap, which my Mum used to scrub me with. I don't know if that was available here. However, when I could afford my own soap, I would buy Yardley. I was amazed that the price was cheaper here, than in England. They cost me just 69 cents for the large 120 g. 4.25 ounce bar. I love that they come in a box, rather than a wrapper. The ones I have right now are, oatmeal, fresh cucumber, lemon, and English lavender. I have to say that English lavender is my favorite, and I always think of it when Yardley is mentioned. All of them are excellent value, they are paraben free, and sodium lauryl sulfate free. They are not tested on animals, and the packaging is 100% recyclable. I use my Yardley soaps when I am taking a leisurely bath. They seem to relax me, and I feel good using them. Effectiveness They get me clean, and leave me feeling good. Scent All of the scents are long lasting.
