Great Product

5

Hi Guys, I would like to tell you how good of a product this mixer is, and how stylish it is for the modern kitchen. This mixer has a futuristic style, does not take as much space as other mixers do, and at the same time, it is very powerful. The only little bad thing that I have to say about this product is that it is a little heavier than most other mixers, well because of its large amount of metal. I make things like batter for cookies and batter for cakes, and this is just great for these types of things. If you are the avid baker, than this is the mixer for you. It is very durable, and is perfect for mixing batter for making a cake. It is a little pricey, so if you are not willing to spend lots of money on a mixer, I would not recommend this product, but if you are looking for a great mixer and are willing to spend anything, this is for you.

Good mixer for the cost

If you are baking everyday, might not be the mixer for you. Mixing Performance This is a very good mixer for lighter baking. I do mix cookies and stiffer batter things in it and it does a good job. But if I were to be baking daily or even every other day I would want a stronger mixer. Ease of Cleaning The stainless steel bowls clean up well. Ease of Use Easy to use and easy to change attachements Design I bought it on sale but what really drew me to it is that it is stainless steel as are all my appliances. Durability I have had this mixer for a few years now and had no problems.

Wolfgang Puck 10-Speed Stand Mixer WPPSM050

I got this mixer from Santa Claus. I use it weekly, sometimes more than once a week. I have mixed things that you probably shouldnt mix in a stand mixer. This mixer is amazing! I have never ever had one problem with it. The bowl that come with it heat up and chill very quickly. If I am making whipped cream I throw the smaller of the 2 bowls into the freezer for 10 minutes prior and it works like gold. If I am mixing something that needs to stay warm, I run the bowl under hot water in the sink for a few minutes and it retains the heat well. I have made bread doughs, whipped creams, creme brulee, cakes, cookies, you name it. Never had a problem ever, The attachments (whisk, beater, dough hook) are all metal. I liked that over the competition, they use mostly plastic. I had worries about breakage for heavier things like forsting and breads. I dont like that the paint is coming off of the beater attachment which is painted black. I check frequently and I think the paint is wearing off during cleaning and not in the food you are mixing. The motor is a bit on the noisy side but worth it!

Good mixer but not the best

We have an older version of this mixer from when they first came out. This particular one may be of better quality. I like using the one we have. It is rather heavy to move around but the attachments are easy to replace and it is overall easy to use. They major flaw mine has is that some of the attachments do not reach the bottom of the bowl. So there is a bit of elbow grease involved to mix something. You use the mixer and then have to stop it and mix a bit with a spoon to make sure it is all stirred in. It's kind of a bummer and for me it was a bit of a deal breaker. I felt it was much easier to use a hand held mixer over this one because of that or just mix with a spoon depending on what I was baking. I like the look of this one and the settings are comparable to other mixers. You can even buy a meat grinder attachment for the front of this one. That would be handy if you bought your meat from a butcher or prepared your own deer meat. I never had a use for it so I didn't buy it. I think I may have been a bit of a sucker for the Wolfgang Puck name and did not do my research with this one. Hopefully after you read my review of this one as well as my WP cookware set, you can draw your own educated conclusions. You have been warned.

comparable to kitchen aid but way cheaper

I saw this mixer demonstrated on the home shopping network.  I had been waiting for the right opportunity to buy a stand mixer but the one i wanted from kitchenaid was so expensive.  I didn't want to buy the cheap kitchenaid mixer just to get by.  When I saw this I couldn't resist.  This mixer was cheaper than the cheapest kitchenaid and has a more powerful motor than the more expensive kitchenaid.  It came with two bowls and a splatter guard, a paddle attachment and a whisk attachment.  It has a reset switch in case something should happen to the product while you're using it, it will not burn the motor out but rather it will shut itself off.  I have used this thing for cakes, icing, cokkie dough etc and it powers through everything.
