This may not be the rice cooker for everyone. We bought it thinking we would have an easy clean up an a worry free batch of rice made in no time. The thing that I found funny was the fact that there is not a timer that will give you a definite time as to when the rice will be finished. The only indication that the rice is fine was a small beep. That doesn't leave much room for a set it and forgot it meal if that I what you are looking for with this machine. I can also say that there is a bit of a mess because the pressure pushes bubbles out of the too and that is a pain to clean up. If you don't have the time to clean up or worry, you may want to go for a different rice cooker. I can say however that there has not been a bit of burned rice in all of my time using this machine. The pressure keeps the rice warm as well as moist so aside from the mess you will have rice that actually lasts. I wouldn't count it out before trying it if I were a Wolf Gang Puck fan. Forgot to mention, be careful because this cooker is easily scratched if you use the wrong utensil to dig out the rice.

  Wolfgang puck rice cooker is best rice cooker i have come across  , I have been using this cooker  for 2 years no problem, love it. every recipe comes out great , rice,mac and cheese ,soups , cakes ,u name it , rice cooks really fast , clean up is easy, it keeps food warm for long , it works like a slow cooker.

Works great for cooking rice based dishes, however I haven't tried much else.  It is kind of hard to clean the lid well.  I was hoping for more basic recipies in the manual.  I don't have access to many of the ingredients needed for some of the recipies plus they were a little too "high class" for my families tastes.

Wolfgang has hit the mark as usual with his 10 cup rice cooker/steamer.  The product is more that it's expected to be since it does so much more than cook rice.  Weather it's cooking up some macaroni & cheese or baking a lava cake, this product does it all very well.  Be careful, however, if the cooker is overfilled, a big mess is likely.  Other than that, it's a great product that is easy to clean, store and use.  This is one of the best rice cookers that I've ever used.  Outstanding product that definitely lives up to the Wolfgang Puck name.

I really appreciate having a multipurpose appliance so I don't have my counters overflowing with gadgets. This unit has a steamer basket so I can cook rice, pasta, noodles soups, or even meats and have the basket to steam vegetables.   When cooking rice or pasta, they need to be rinsed off so the starch does not froth out but it only takes a minute to do so.  As my friend used to say "you're not a great cook but you sure are fast".  When I come home from work, the sooner dinner is done, the sooner I can relax and this cooker helps a lot.

I love my wolfgang puck 10-cup rice cooker/steamer. I have the extra two steamer trays and lid too. I love that I can make enough rice to feed my family plus any guests we may have. I always know if unexpected company shows up, I can always throw ingrediants in the cooker, turn it on, and in a few minuets I have a perfectly cooked meal. I even make rice and put frozen pre-cooked chicken on top for a quick lunch. My rice always turns out perfect, even if it sits for awhile before the rest of the meal is done. It's also great for steaming fresh veggies (or even doing veggies and rice at the same time. The recipe book was full of great ideas. The rice cooker also comes apart easily and fits into the dishwasher. It's a breeze to cook with and so easy to clean up after.

I have only used my rice cooker three times, I followed all the directions properly and according to the manual.  Last night I tried to make rice with it and it never switched from cook to warm.  I was very close by the cooker and luckily noticed the smell within minutes.  By that time it had burned my rice to a crisp but that was not all that worried me.  The outside of the appliance was unusually hot.  I am aware that they are supposed to get hot to the touch but it was so hot I had to get my husband to help me put it outside.   **I am afraid that the appliance is a fire hazard!!!** Today, I called customer service on the back of my manual and was on hold for nearly an hour.  The lady on the other end of the phone was very nice and apologetic.  The company plans to send me a relpacement in the mail because they claim that this "never happens with their products."  I wish I could have just got my money back, I do not want to be stuck with a rice pot that may burn down my house!!!!!

I love this rice cooker!!!!! it cooks anything!! from rice to steaming fish...to soup......even macaroni and cheese!!!!!! yup mac and cheese!! and its delicious...the clean up is absolutely heaven!!!! i could marry the rice cooker!! its that awesome!!                                                         you can cook: stews...soups...ramen noodles...loads and loads of rice..steam chinese dumplings....squash...fish..veggies..hot dogs...mac and cheese.....chicken....spaghetti!!!!           this rice cooker is absoultely perfect..wolfgang is an amazing chef and appliance creator this is a stroke of genius...the only problem is trying to get the pot ...and the lid closes on you sometimes while your trying to dish out whatever you created...... so i suggest using a pot holder or something.....other than that ive had no problems using this....i think it would be a great gift for whoever you think you want to give it to:)  but maybe you should get one for yourself too..you kno u dont want to miss out!

I love my rice cooker I have. You can cook rice and steam veggies at the same time. The rice comes out perfect everytime. The veggies come out nice and soft. I dont thing you can every over cook it unless you leave the rice on all day long. What I like most about the rice cooker is that it is so easy to clean up after each use. Another thing is that you dont only have to cook white rice you can also cook spanish rice. Before I had the rice cooker I would "TRY" to cook it on the stove and never came out right. It was either not cooked enough to where it is still crunchie or You put TOO much water to where the rice is real muschie. Same thing with the veggies on the stove they would come out sometimes hard or even sometimes too mushie. In the rice cooker the veggies come out nice and perfect!  If you dont have one you should think about getting one because they are wonderful to have!!!!!!!
